TPC Tampa Bay
About
TPC Tampa Bay can be as challenging as the golfer wants it to be. But be prepared to pay the price for taking the risks. Located just a 20-minute ride from the Tampa International Airport in Lutz, TPC Tampa Bay is open to the public seven days a week. A Bobby Weed design, TPC Tampa Bay is part of a network of courses owned and operated by PGA Tour Golf Course Properties. The fairways have subtle movement and weave through lakes and natural wetlands - 19 in all - and around strategic bunkers that number 81. The greens are large (averaging 6,400 square feet) and undulating, and most are open in the front, offering golfers the option of hitting run-up approach shots. There's a clubhouse and a fully stocked golf shop offering a complete line of equipment and apparel from the top names in golf to complement the course.

Fantastic facilities and experience
First time playing this course and visiting the facility and based on our experience it won't be the last.
From the greeter to the first tee the staff are friendly and informative.
Course was in great shape considering the rain that had fallen that morning. Greens ran true and fast, fairways excellent and tee boxes manicured. Course is playable but if you miss the fairway or greens then you are suitably punished.
The clubhouse and facilities are fantastic. Modern and top notch locker rooms and pro shop. Restaurant looked fantastic although we didn't eat.
Overall one of the best in Tampa bay and with a golfnow hot deal it was tremendous value for money.
TPC Tampa Bay
Great course all around, great experience from parking lot to final hole. Layout pretty friendly and held the stray shot off the tee. Greens very nice, some very large and others medium in size which rolled smooth at a medium speed. Can't miss experience if you get it at the right price like we did.
TPC Tampa Bay Tops
Tampa residents should be proud of TPC Tampa Bay as one of the finest overall golf facilities in the nation. From the clubhouse, to dining, the practice facility, the staff and, of course, the course... everything is first rate as it earns its rating as one of the top courses in the nation. If you want to be treated like a pro, TPC Tampa Bay is where you need to play.
A Great place to play, but pricey.
This was my first time playing here. I wanted to treat myself to a course that I've heard other people tell me was a great course. I played on a Saturday and the pace of play was great, I did play by myself. The fairways were immaculate, very easy to hit off of. I played from the blue tee boxes and on certain holes the distance to the fairway was longer than my initial drive, but my second shot was able to get me close to the greens on the par 4s. The greens were deceptively fast and difficult to read, even at 6 feet. If you love golf come here to play. The only downside is the price $90-$110 in the summer.
Challenging Course
The course was in very good shape considering the amount of rain we have had. Got a GREAT deal through GolfNow. Range Balls included. There is a potential for many lost balls.
Amazing Experience!
Being an amateur, I have never played on a course this nice. It was absolutely the best golf experience Ive ever had. Just a whole different level of experience. Staff was there to make you feel special about being there.
To play on a course where Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson won a tournament is a unique feeling.
Now I know what it kind of feels like to be treated like a professional.
Best bet for tourists
Played on a Monday afternoon. Nobody on the course but us. Excellent design, excellent condition. Got a good price from Golf Now. Only knock is the beverage cart stopped running just as we were starting. This is a destination golf course and I will definitely try to play here if I'm back in the Tampa area .
Hot day
Facility ran out of ice by noon
Water stations were left empty
My first time playing there. Cart attendant kept telling us she was the only one out there. So we only saw her every 6 holes. For the price I had expected to have water available on such a hot day.
Pristine course similar to Alaqua CC, Windermere CC, & The Club at Eaglebrooke.
12:53 tee w/ wife. Hot Deal rate $107 for both of us minus $75 Golfnow reward. Only able to play this course because of Golfnow reward. Would have been a funner round if the course wasn't so wet therefore cart paths only, makes for a long, arduous, tiring round. Tee boxes were mushy as well as fairways. Elevated greens were in great condition though, rolling true & fast. Set in a a subdivision setting. Wide tee shot landing areas. Holes are tree lined on both sides or has body on water on one side. Battery powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back.
Decent course. Not worth the high price tag
Flew into Tampa on a short golf trip with a buddy. Scored a "Hot deal" from golfnow which allowed us to play for $57 each after taxes and fees. This course didn't have a chipping green and they only gave us about 15 range balls to warm up. The next day, we drove down to Estero to play some much nicer course where we played 36 for the same price as we paid to play the TPC. I know it's off-season and the course has seen a lot of rain, but they should lower the price to encourage more golfers to come play. Not worth the high price and much nicer options available for less money.
Must Play in Tampa
If you only have one chance to play while you are in Tampa, I would make this my stop. Course brings into play all that is great about Florida. Plus seeing a Gator sunbathing is always an added plus. They were working on the greens the day I was going to be playing, but they called the day before to make sure I was aware of the course maintenance. Course maintenance never bothers me, so this did not affect my round. The scenic views and challenging holes make this an amazing 18 holes of golf. The staff was amazing and the clubhouse is in amazing condition.
TPC Tampa is top-golf in the area
TPC Tampa Bay is one of top conditioned courses in the area. The layout, which may seem simple from the tee, is surprisingly challenging. You can expect the tees, fairways and greens to be in superb shape. One of my favorite Tampa tracks.
Awesome
What a great course, very challenging for me but everything was perfect. The must have 3 or 4 putted at least 6 greens because I wasn't use to the speed. I will definitely hit more practice putts next time a play.
Beautiful Course
This was a great course. I really enjoyed the course conditions and I will definitely make my way back. Friendly staff, great food.
Great Course
One of the best places to play in Tampa! We were fortunate to have beautiful weather and the course did not disappoint. It was in flawless condition with smooth and fast greens. Can't wait to go back!
North Tampa Gem
Only 15 minutes from the airport, TPC Tampa Bay is a must play. The name TPC alone sets the stage for what you can expect. When you enter the facility the staff is overwhelmingly nice. Everything on the practice area and golf course were pristine. I have had the chance to play a lot of great golf courses, and these greens might have been the best conditioned greens I have ever played on. They stated they were running at 12.5 and there was 100% truth behind that, without a blemish on a single green. As a wise man once said, the course overall was challenging but score-able if you keep in the short grass. If anyone was within a day drive of this golf course, I would highly recommend it to all.
Great!
Course was excellent!! Sarah on the cart was fantastic and provided excellent service
Gorgeous gem just north of Tampa
Greens are fast, course is immaculate even in early winter, and the course staff is friendly - this track makes for a great day of golf. From the blues, we were surprised how long the course played. Some par 4s were a solid wood or more away even after a strong tee shot. Par 3s were long and challenging but wide near the greens that allowed me to recover a few misguided shots. This place is absolutely one of the best courses in Florida.
Just another respected member of the TPC family
Last time I visited TPC Tampa Bay, it looked much different as it was the last year for the Champions Tour event. Like all courses that build grandstands, corporate hospitality tents and other temporary structures for a tournament, there just seems to be a more wide-open feel when those are not in place. While it is unfortunate that this property no longer hosts what was one of the most enjoyable spectator events on the 50 and over professional tour, there is still quite a bit to praise. Both the practice areas and the golf course are in top condition and the greens play very firm, fast and true. Make no mistake, this course plays long from the blue tees...especially the closing stretch to get to the clubhouse. Fairway metals, hybrids and long irons will get plenty of action unless you have significant length with the driver. Honestly, the design of this particular TPC is much simpler than some of the others that host annual PGA Tour events at Louisiana, San Antonio, and Sawgrass. There's more of a resemblance to the layouts of Dye's Valley or Southwind as many holes will challenge you without "wowing" you. Employees here seem very laid back, but certainly attentive enough to make sure nothing is taken for granted. The TPC brand really does mean quality across the board and is never a negative experience for the above average player.
Challenging course with a good variety of holes. Short and long par 4's. Greens are very fast and undulating.
From start to finish this course offers challenges on almost every shot. Almost literally, miss the dead center of the fairway and you'll have a non-level lie. A few wide fairways off the tee, but second shots almost all have a very narrow target area. Miss the green and there's deep rough, mounds and traps.
Greens were in great condition and very fast. Most are large and have a ridge or tier. A few greens and depending on the pin position, might be on the green but have no line to the pin. And there are a few "false fronts" and elevated greens.
A tough course for me but I always enjoy playing a course where the pros have played a tournament.
Excellent practice areas and usually easy to get a tee time.
