TPC Tampa Bay

Took my dad out on St Patrick's Day and booked online using a gift card. I didn't realize I only booked for 9 holes and I had to pay extra at the course to play 18. My fault for not reading the offer closely enough. I thought I set up my settings to filter 18 hole offers only but guess not. I had no issues until it backed up on 10 and we waited at every hole coming in. I don't run into that at the less expensive courses I play so I was disappointed that it happened at the TPC.

From the get go the staff was superb, friendly, and knowledgeable. Plush fairways, thick rough...hardly any bare sandy spots, rolling greens that are plush and true and very well protected by sand and false fronts. Overall excellent course for the experienced golfer. If just beginning I would try somewhere easier. Thanks, I will return.

We played the course twice when visiting the area and we were really excited about the chance play this course. There were aspects of the days that we loved and those that were disappointing. On the plus side, the best putting surfaces I have played, and the course layout is fantastic and challenging plus the staff are friendly and professional.

On the negative side, the conditioning of the bunkers was poor in spots and looked like they hadn't been tended to for more than a few days and at the prices that isn't what we would have expected. Overall it was enjoyable because of the layout but have to say I would look for other options if in the area again.

Course had a nice layout. Free practice balls. Clubhouse was small, but nice and clean. However, the pace of play was unacceptable. It was the longest round of golf myself and my friend ever played at 5 and a half hours. I would expect a better pace of play at any golf course, but especially here where the cost of playing is on the higher side. I understand why they put so many golfers out there, but they shouldn't. Also, had some kids walking and riding skateboards on the cart paths. Overall, nice course layout and conditions, and a nice facility. But pace of play and kids on the course considered with the price may keep me away from this course again.

This course will challenge all golfers. Be warned there is lots of water and
the greens are fast with many undulations. Carts have GPS screens. Enjoy!!!

Bathroom needed attention and toilet backed up. Very slow play and the putting surfaces needed attention (a lot of drag marks).

Wonderful all-grass driving range and smooth-rolling Bermuda grass practice green combine for a great practice facility. Holes 1 and 2 are fairly straight-forward warmups before the coming bombardment of natural wetlands, fairway bunkers, and greenside bunkers spoil your hopes for a low round. I appreciated that TPC TB is one of the only two courses in the Tampa Bay area to be designated as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, and can see how some publications include the course in their ‘top in state’ rankings. Unfortunately it’s not a course for walkers given significant distance between a few holes, but I found the challenging and non-repetitive holes coupled with demanding pins worthy of a recommendation even though the course got the best of me.

This course is a must play for any low handicapper. I would not recommend this course for a high (20+) handicap. The greens roll true and are fast, but not unreasonable. I only had a couple of three putts and if I played it a few times, I doubt I would have had those. If you get out of position on any hole, expect to pay the price. The last five holes are as difficult as any finish you will play.

He course was in great condition, greens were rolling well. The club house remodel is wonderful, and the pro shop has great merchandise!

First time playing TPC I got a great reception my the staff and well taken care of from the moment I arrived. The starter gave me a good tip to practice putt because the greens a slick and you'll need the feel. He was spot on. A great day, I was paired with a young man from Maine and we had a good round of golf and conversation!! Thank you TPC. Oh by the way, I shared a locker room with some of the greats like Tom Watson.

The place is just awesome! The course just near perfect, the greens, well it is a TPC facility, so just keep that in mind. Nothing is easy.

If you can not move the ball, 280plus yards, do not go for the back tees, your score would be destroy very fast.

If you are visiting, and you do not get to play this type of golf courses, do play from where the pros do, to get that experience, but do not hold the rest of the group back.

My group have played various TPC courses and this is up there with them all. Although challenging, it is a very fair course. The greens were quick! They don't over seed here, so it will always be in good condition. The friendliness of the staff was exceptional - they really make you feel welcome. Excellent course and was top of the 7 courses we played during the week. Would thoroughly recommend this facility if you are in the area.

TPC Tampa Bay is one of the best you will find in Florida. The staff is very friendly and provide excellent service. This is our "go to" course. The practice facility is great. They also treat juniors very well and seem to push junior golf. My son plays and practices here daily. He always feels welcome. Seems like most courses push the juniors aside but at TPC they understand that is how to grow the game.

Tournament course built for tournament golf. Some risk reward, seems to play longer than card and wind makes a difference. Play it sometime, you'll like it!

Have played some amazing courses plan to play this course again ang again. Pro shop and the resturant is amazing

Nice course but no way worth 105$$$$, must be that TPC logo.

Challenging Golf Course

Ok I can say that I played a TCP course. The course is just ok. The greens are superb and fast. The fairways are boring, no strategy needed,. The course is not architecturally pretty and the noise from the highway is awful. The GPS on the cart was off by 40 yards. No showers in the ladies locker room, so I had to drive over and hour home all sweaty. Nothing special about the restaurant menu, a few sandwiches and hot dogs. No bottled water (they ran out) It was not the PGA experience we were expecting. For the same money go to Streamsong where you'll have a true golf experience.
