Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Golfing Heritage Harbor
I like the course but you could use a starter + a ranger. I played twice there this month. The first day I caught a 3 some on the 2nd hole but in front of them was a 2some + in front of them was a single. The Course was backed up because of that. On the second time out, I was going out again at the 1st tee by myself. 2 Gentleman pulled up just after I hit , they were happy to play as a 3some. I played with Mark (an employee there) + his friend Doug. We enjoyed each other’s company but we played very close to a 5 hour round. I’m old + I get stiffer + stiffer after waiting to shoot after each + every shot. I really enjoyed the gentleman but waiting like that usually leads into lost concentration + mostly poor scores. Unfortunately this happened for all 3 of us. Please hire a Starter + at least 1 Ranger to help the slowest groups more along.
Sad
Sad that the course was i such bad shape. Weeds, burnt grass, uncut greens ... sad.
Great Course, Go to course
Excellent course. Fun and challenging, it’s early spring so obviously the course won’t be fully green given the lack of rain in Florida right now. But when it does rain and the grass gets some water, this place is amazing. Didn’t know they got upgraded carts with Bluetooth speakers in them and a screen for yardages. Absolutely amazing stuff. Worth the drive if you don’t live close, laid back chill pace of play, great time, great vibes, 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a good weekend course to play. Typically play on Saturdays but played today on Sunday at 1 and finished the round of 18 in regular time. Never felt rushed, greens were great for this early in the season. Had a ball. Love this place will be back again soon.
Don’t if I will go back
Greens seem to be the only area on the course that’s being maintained. A lot of weeds in the fairways and tee boxes. I expected more for the price. Staff was great but course conditions were subpar.
Heritage
Nice layout, good pace, reasonable price for these days. Greens decent. Roughs are just dirt and weeds, tees need grass and fairways so-so. Might be a better experience in the summer or if we get some rainn
Greens were ok…
It was really bad. The greens look nice, but when you get to them, there were a lot of divots that apparently nobody repairs.
The fairways had a LOT of dirt in them and the grass was spotty at best. It doesn’t look like they water at all. . The tee boxes were dead or dirt.
Definitely don’t recommend this course at all.
Unbelievably Below Average
This golf course is a genuine disaster. Horrible condition for the worst layout I have ever seen.
Hjf
Nice layout, friendly employees and decent price. Greens were good. Major problem is no grass on the tees or fairways and roughs were worse. Might be a nice course when the grass is growing this summer or fall. I liked the layout
Heritage golf course
The course was in fair shape pace a plate was quick. Staff were very courteous and outgoing, of course itself was in less than fair shape in certain areas due to being dried out, cost of round was average.
Good for the $
Booked last minute on a Saturday and I would say overall was worth it. Overseeded greens were running slow. Tee boxes overall good shape. A lot of patchy areas in fairways and some lies were just dirt. Of course rough was just sand and weeds. Overall not bad for last minute and value.
Met expectations
This is a nice course that I had forgotten about and hadn't played in over 10 years. Considering the drought, the playing conditions were reasonable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. One distinguishing feature I had forgotten about is that a few of the greens have an "eyebrow" shape that is long in one direction and very narrow in the other direction. For example, on #1, the pin was in the middle and my approach shot was right at it but five paces past. Normally a shot that I would be satisfied with, but I was left with a difficult downhill chip from a bad lie.
The Heritage
Another great round of golf was had by all. What makes it so good when you walk into the pro shop and warmly greeted by the staff working there. Cart Lady was extremely good and provided 1st class customer service. We let a two some through so our four some didn't hold them up and they thanked us and we never saw them again. We will definitely be back again and again.....
Not bad for the price and last minute
We booked this at the last minute and showed up as a twosome and kept getting singles paired with 3’s in front of us. We got paired with a single eventually also. We ended up teeing off two full tee times behind our scheduled tee time. The pace of play was quite slow for a 6000 yard course. 5 hours for a group of 3 is pretty bad. The course was in average condition. The greens were quite slow as they hadnt been mowed anytime recently. The tee boxes were either overgrown or completely bare. The layout is short but fun, that’s the only reason I’d say it was worth it.
