Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Great Place to Knock off the Rust!
Being from the north, generally need a course to play that does not overly punish my bad shots. I was once nearly scratch, but age has taken its toll. Heritage Harbor is just the right blend of challenging and fair. You can make it about as difficult as you want depending on what tee you play. Playing Heritage gets my game going after months of layoff, it prepares me to play something like TPC and not get too intimidated by the visuals. The course is playing very firm right now, no rain, and dormant fairways. Do not let this deter you, just plan on the ball running a good amount.
Good value and good layout.
I like this course a lot. I’ve been down for about a month and I have played four or five courses in the area. This definitely ranks up near the top. A very good circuit layout. The greens were slightly spongy, but very true reads. Tee boxes need some TLC, but the course was in pretty good shape. Got teamed up with some members and that helped with course knowledge. Overall, I will definitely come back.
New cart GPS for the course is very inconsistent. On a few holes the cart stated after stopping in the middle of the fairway to play the ball "Caution Near Water", the cart shut down. Had to turn it off, then on again, push the cart in reverse for 15 yards directly backwards in order for it to engage. Who ever installed the software for the course GPS must be retrained properly so not to cause delays on the course. This MUST be addressed.
Heritage 👍
The course has been well maintained and is playing true. Tough fair and fun.
Hats off to the HH crew.
Great Layout but rough shape
The greens are in great shape. some T-Boxes are also in great shape while others are pretty rough.
Fairways are in Terrible shape, a lot of sand and weeds.
Bogey
Played the course a couple times now. Fairways are in rough shape. No irrigation, and way to much sand in the fairway. Greens are in bad shape do to undisciplined golfer not repairing divots and be careless. Greens and tee boxes need to be maintained They are trying to open up a few holes and make the course more player friendly. Has the potential to be a nice course. Might give it another shot in 4 to 6 months
Don't waste your money
the course is in horrible shape. They did not overseed, so the fairways are all dormant. ALL 18 of them. It is like hitting on deadpan everywhere. I really like this course, but right now, stay away until the raining season comes back and grass is growing again.
Horrific conditions. Terrible value.
Charging $80 for this course is a crime against humanity. It’s a legit cow pasture. Fairways are dirt and weeds. Greens aren’t greens. Course has potential but it will be years before it’s playable.
Decent layout and solid conditions
On a three day golf trip to Tampa with my son (15) and wanted a good warm up course for our trip (playing 4 total rounds).
The staff is friendly and accommodating from the pro shop to the restaurant. Played the Blue Tees (11 hcp) and found it challenging enough to test my tee shots and approaches with mid-irons.
The fairways and rough were dried out but totally expected for a course in January. Greens rolled true and the bunkers had soft sand.
Would definitely come back!
I played on 1/24. The courses in FL normally overseed in the winter with rye grass and fairways should be lush and green now. Not here. Even cows can feed on this course.
