Patriots Glen Golf Club

Course was in "average" shape. Still one of the best courses lay-outs around. Greens were very slow but in better shape then 3 months ago. Hope owners are putting money in to continue to improve the course.

Overall, Patriots Glen wasn’t a bad course.

Going on Memorial Day, I thought it would be way backed up, but I actually never really broke pace, and finished under four hours.

A lot of comments were hating on course conditions in which I don’t agree with. 75% of the tee boxes were in average or better shape, with some of the par 3 ones having a bunch of divots.

The fairways could use some work.

The greens were smooth and fast.

For being one of the cheaper course in the area, it meets or exceeds expectations.

Let me first start by saying I have never written a review on GolfNow in over 5 years of using this app. But please don’t waste your time coming here. Greens are the best part of this course and they are 2 stars at best. Fairways trash tee boxes trash . Feels like a ghost town here, mid day Saturday sunny 75 degrees and nobody here haha! I’m a 10-15 handicap so my expectations aren’t even that high on course conditions but this has to be the worst course I have played in some time.

Greens were firm but in good shape. A couple of the fairways were a little thin, but overall in good shape. I had not been here in awhile. Pleasantly surprised with the conditions. Would definitely return.

This course has been given a bad rap. The only things wrong with the course is that the greens needed to be a little faster. They were bumpy ( needs rolling) and slow needed to be cut more recent. The only other complain if you can call it that was that the rough off the fairway was a little long but with as wet as it has been it could be the fact it has been tough to mow. I will look forward to coming back to see if the suggestions helped. The course itself is close, the fairways were in decent shape and the green other than being a little long and bumpy were in good shape.

For the money we paid it was worth it. The course does need work which it appears they are trying to do. Great layout with some challenging holes. I hope they are striving to improve the conditions

Played this afternoon, was pleasantly surprised by the improved conditions on the course compared to last year. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in reasonably good shape, not great but good. Still some rough spots , but I could see the improvement from last year. It is an interesting course, with some challenging holes. I plan to play there several more times this season.

I played here yesterday and had a great time. I agree that the fairways were rough in spots and some greens had spotty areas, but do not be scared off by prior negative reviews. This course is one of the best layouts in the area. The number 1 handicap hole would be a challenge for any low handicapped golfer. I used to play here often after it was built but I moved North and finally came back. The trees have grown in giving the course a very private feel. You must give it a try, for the money, you can't beat it. Staff was nice and I will be back.

I played here today. I returned after 19 years as I had moved north and hadn't been in the area. Don't listen to what others have said although we can all agree that April golf is tough with aerated greens. This course is a gem! One of the best layouts in the area. The #1 handicap hole will challenge the lowest of handicap golfers. The community is well designed and since I have last played there, the trees have grown-in giving the course a very private fees. Some greens had spotty areas but overall, they were great, a little slow, we have had a lot of rain this week so they weren't cut low. The fairways, granted, can tend to be spotty t0o, especially number 9, but you can roll your ball to an area for a clean shot. My advice, if you never played here, don't be scared away by prior reviews. It is truly one of the best layouts I have played in a long time. Staff was fine, not rude, and nice bar area for a friendly drink after. Go there, it's more than worth it at $27 after 12pm, are you kidding me?? I will be back!!

I believe when it is properly cared for it will become a great and challenging golf course!

Course conditions were so bad. Greens had holes in them and weeds all over the tee boxes. Fairways were uneven and terribly maintained. Staff was on the phone the entire time I was trying to sign in. Overall the worst golf experience I’ve ever had. DO NOT COME HERE

Awesome layout played it 20 x over the years. Each new mananagment has tried to improve the joint over many years. Poor / clay soil base is the root of the problem. They can never get grass to grow. Played today as a single riding in two hours twenty minutes. Every green is horrible and unputtable. They were putting lipstick on a pig by coloring the green with green dye while I was playing. Staff has always been rude and nothing has changed there. Also cart path only ? And even wholes that we’re traditionally wet were totally fine. I’m a 8 handicap and use this course to improve driver length and g.i.r. . It is what it is a DOG TRACK..with potential

I typically play here if it’s early on in the season to get some practice rounds in or if I’m looking to work on parts of my without having to pay a lot. The value is relevant for the course conditions. Bunkers aren’t great and the greens aren’t very well kept. Some have patches of fresh grass that were just placed on them (which were very evident early in the season). Probably to cover some of the dead, sandy areas that would form in the middle of them. Fairway grass will get brown if there isn’t a lot of rain. They don’t water or maintain them well. More experienced golfers can find a better deal elsewhere, but this is good for having a fun time with friends or practice.

Don't waste your time or money here.Paid $40 for a tee time at 8 am and there was no staff at the club until 8:05 am, no chance to warm up or hit balls. Then the greens are completely unplayable. I play regularly at other courses and understand that the cold season can be hard on greens and fairways. But this is a combination of not even caring about it anymore.I was hoping with the re opening that we would see a change on this course but actually is getting worse.

We scheduled a Tee Time for 9:30. We arrived to the course at 8:30 with an empty parking lot besides two other golfers. The two other golfers stated they had a 8am tee time but clubhouse was locked with no one in sight. Eventually staff to work the kitchen began to arrive. They said someone should be in at 9am for the golf course. They kept us locked outside. I worker let himself in to get range balls and relocked the doors and provided no help. Eventually pro shop employee showed up and made zero apologies. He also walked right by us and let us stand outside for 20 minutes before we realized he was there for the pro shop. He stated that due to frost he figured he would show up at 9am. There was nothing announced on website and zero notification. After 9 holes we entered the clubhouse to grab a quick bite to eat. Little did we know, we walked into a Drag Queen Parade. Transgenders were parading around inside the clubhouse and staff refused to serve us food. The greens were in poor shape and it was obvious they were not cared for towards the end of the summer to ensure they were playable during the off season. Needless to say, will not be revisiting this course anytime soon.

For a rookie like me. The course was very easy to navigate. Everything was labeled. Greens were taken care of and I had a great time. I have a 9:30 tee time tomorrow.
