Lakes at Indian Creek Golf Course
About
Only two holes lack water on Indian Creek Golf Club's Lakes Course, designed by Dick Phelps three years after the Creek Course opened. No. 9 is the best hole, playing 453 yards with water coming into play off the tee and the approach. A pond protects the left bend of the dogleg and extends to the green. Bogey isn't bad on this difficult par 4.

Good place to play
I thought it was pretty easy course would deathly play it again
Water & Trees
Being from West Texas(Abilene), We don't have the trees and water to contend with. Always a treat to play Indian Creek, and even better when I improve my score there!
Worst Pace of Play & No Enforcement
I love this course and have played it more times than I can count. Each time I play there are pace of play issues, and this time it is ridiculous. We were told the course was 'wide open' only to get to the first tee and find there were 5 groups stacked on the first two holes. 5+ hours later and we didn't get to finish because it became too dark. I saw ONE marshall the entire round and he just smiled and waved. VERY frustrating!
Good condition/challenging course
Fairways, sand, and greens are in great shape considering it was wintertime and the ponds were still frozen over. I had the chicken wrap at the clubhouse and it was horrible! It was full of lettuce and hardly any chicken. Other than that, everything/everyone was great. I will definitely play this course again.
Good Times
This was an amazing experience, we enjoy the design of every hole. We play again Indians Creek!!!
Great Starting Course
Althought the Creek Course is the nicer of the two, the Lakes offers a challenge for all skill levels. I enjoyed the layout and my approaches had to be well-thought out and carefully calculated. Greens were also in good condition, probably rolling at about a 9.
this course is much more than average.
Good location, centrally located in DFW . Two great 18 hole courses. The Creeks is most challenging. The lakes is shorter, but offers many challenges. Both are fun. The staff provides outstanding service. There is also a better than average practice area.
Great course for the price!
Although it's winter and the course is grey, it is in really good shape! Especially for the price. Staff is friendly and unlike most Houston courses, groups in front of us let us play through!
Definitely a course we will return to next time we are in Dallas!
NIce Muni. Appealing layout.
Played the Creek Course. Makes the most of the topography. Some holes will challenge a scratch player. Greens can be tricky. Friendly local players. All around good time
Lots of water
Great course! Well maintained and very good layout. It was challenging but very fair. I will play this course again.
rough fairways
The fairways are uneven, rough, and potted. Most pastures are smoother than the Lakes Course fairways. If you have the misfortune of being off the fairway you are on hard, bare ground. Sand traps are a joke, no sand.
Overall, great course.
Top to bottom the staff is always courteous. Greens are in good shape.
Not too bad
The only real problem I had with this course, and like the other courses we played in the Dallas area, was the condition off the driving range. Never fun to hit out of divots when trying to get loose.
The course (Creek) was actually better than I was expecting and in better shape than other higher priced courses in the area. The greens were in fantastic shape and weren't too slow or fast...just right. The layout was nice and challenging and I would definitely play this track again should I get back to Dallas.
Good Course
The last time I played Indian Creek was in the early 90's and it was still in as good a shape if not better. From Tee to Green it is well maintained. Can't wait to get my revenge!
Very muddy and slow play
I used to play this course a lot but it seems like they no longer maintain or try to improve the fairway conditions throughout the course. If you are not on the fairway, you are pretty much on the mud. Don't bring your new or white shoes, you will put on some beauty mud pack. Everyone works here are very professional. Nice layout and fun golf course. I wish the course condition around the green was better.
I enjoy playing this course
You can't beat playing the Lakes Course for $20!! The course is in great shape and offered a nice challenge playing from the Blue Tee Box!
The lakes has lots of water and is a good challenge
I enjoyed playing The lakes at indian Creek./.. I was a single and got stuck behind a group of ladies that would not let me go around them. So other than that i really enjoyed the course. it was in fine shape and the weather was beautiful
Indian Creeks the lakes
Great weather to play Golf, and i thought the course was well maintained and the cart girl was awesome.
Good test of your skills
Pretty well maintained. Enough length to make it challeging. A little over priced comparing what else is available at GolfNow but for the right price worth it. Easy to get to. Not too busy.
fast pace of play in afternoon
We teed off at 4:30pm on a Friday and finished at 7:30pm. The course was in decent shape except for the bunkers. Not much sand in them and they were hard packed. It was a good value for the price.
