Lakes at Indian Creek Golf Course
About
Only two holes lack water on Indian Creek Golf Club's Lakes Course, designed by Dick Phelps three years after the Creek Course opened. No. 9 is the best hole, playing 453 yards with water coming into play off the tee and the approach. A pond protects the left bend of the dogleg and extends to the green. Bogey isn't bad on this difficult par 4.

Great greens!!! Photo submitted by Bogeyking3431 on 05/03/2013
Great track w 36 holes, very fun w tree lined holes. Shot making a must.
Fairways & greens need work. Normally in great shape but weather has been an issue. Hopefully they will get it back in the shape I've always seen! Still fun, challenging place to swing it!
Good shape, good price, good time.
Great course. Had a great time. Will definitely go again.
Great golf course!!!!
Staff and golf course were great!! Definitely in my top 5 golf courses in the DFW area!!!
Great course early in the season...look forward to seeing it again during the summer!
We played the Creeks course, which is the signature course at Indian Creek. Fairways and greens were in absolutely excellent condition, the bunkers...a bit muddy. Overall, I can't wait to go back out and better my score on this beautiful course.
Staff was extremely friendly. Especially beverage and cart girl staff!
The over seeded fairways and tee boxes were great for this time of year. Greens were firm and fast but held the ball well.
Best layout in Dallas
Must be able to work the ball left to right and right to left as this course has many doglegs. Holes framed by the trees on either side of the fairway, many risk reward holes especially the par fives, greens very good and fast. Putting green is a mess and driving range balls could be replaced. Overall great track , fun to play, and you will hit all your clubs in the bag.
Great Layout, strategic and fast greens, really like it.
Play the White tees first time out, very undaleated and generally plays fast.
Be sure to be on correct tier on the greens or could be a long day.
Very well kept public course, great greens and design.
Course Management Required
Fairways are often tight due to water hazards, but it was definitely an enjoyable round worth the money.
Carts must require super maintenance..?
There were many areas on the fairway that required us to "proceed with caution" as the bumps were significant. I had spoken with the GM about a year ago about the overall conditions and he assured me things would be better. The greens were better, but they still overcharge for the condition of this course and the City of Carrollton needs to pay more attention to this facility.
Terrible greens. Fairways bumby and uneven.
Worst greens at Indian Creek I have seen in twenty years. Do not know what happened. Fairways had little grass and were so uneven, the cart bounced. Would have appreciated a note at check in that course was in bad condition.
Course needs a makeover
There are two 18 hole courses at Indian creek and this is the one you want to avoid. The creek course was redone and is very nice. The lakes courese is like a red headed step child, largely left unattended. My back hurt riding the cart paths. The fairways are no better. This is a 20-25 dollar course not a 40 dollar-50 dollar one. That is my last trip to indian creek
Fairly nice course
Was a great course, only issue was some of the greens had random missing spots of grass that made it hard to putt
Indian Creek Lakes course needs to be smoothed out.
The Lakes course at Indian Creek in Carrollton is so bumpy, it'll give you a back injury while riding in a golf cart. I like the course, but they just need to dump a million tons of sandy loam and smooth out the dang thing. DO NOT PUT A CUP OF SODA WITHOUT A LID IN YOUR CART OR YOU WILL WEAR IT HOME!
Good course fast greens Staff Wake up
I really like the course however the whole staff needs to take a look in the mirror. WE are the customer paying for the enjoyment of Golf. If I see ten more two somes for morning golf it is uncalled for Pace of Play is slow, team people up from a two some to a three or four some Cart Girls are Great
O and NO 5 somesome Please. Rangers Do your Job.
Club house staff need to Pick up the Pace and please a Hot dog is suspose to be HOTTTTTTT not cold Again with the right attitude the Golf Course is Great Live up to what you have !!!
I would play more ...... Also let some air out of the Golf carts way to stiff.
decent but have seen in much better shape.
I've played both sides on more than one occasion and this round on the lakes course the the most disappointing. Then greens were in terrible shape. The tee boxes were also in poor shape. This is still a good track but I have seen i in much better shape.
fairway golf
If you can drive your tee shot straight you should score well. Greens are fairly quick, I left some divots on the greens with mid iron approach shots. Tree lined fairways so driving is important. Some longer par 3's, mixed with senic par 4's with doglegs along creeks and shots over water are challenging.
Nice cart girls and beverage girls in the snack bar.
The worse thing I can say is their sand traps have DIRT, no sand, and rocks. So if you can play on Tuesdays, Golf Now is a great deal.
bad fairways
ur better off keeping d cart on cartpath n walk to ur ball u will make better time because fairways r fill with potholes ever where from t to green
The course was in bad shap, it does not drain well. The fairways had mud filled dirt area. The green had hundrands of old divets.
The layout of this course was nice but it was in bad shape.
fairways very poor shape pot holes all over
the pot holes so bad ur better off staying on the cart path n walking to ur ball u will make better time than driving ur cart n the fairway to ur ball
course maintained very well
The fairways were very well maintained, the greens were large and undulating, but held approach shots to allow you to be a little more aggressive to the pin. The pins were placed in fair positions today, however I can see how the pin placement on some of these greens can make this course very tough.

I played the course on 4/15. You must have played out of the woods. All the fairways have nice thick grass. Yes, the fairways are not flat, nor are they supposed to be. Sounds to me like you need to play a place like Lakepark in Lewisville. Short, flat, easy.
