Lakes at Indian Creek Golf Course
About
Only two holes lack water on Indian Creek Golf Club's Lakes Course, designed by Dick Phelps three years after the Creek Course opened. No. 9 is the best hole, playing 453 yards with water coming into play off the tee and the approach. A pond protects the left bend of the dogleg and extends to the green. Bogey isn't bad on this difficult par 4.

Nice Public Course wtih Plenty of Challenge
Elevated greens with a few tight fairways makes this a good challenge, greens a little slow the day I played but rolled true.
Played as a single during the midle of the day so not crowded.
Good deal on GolfNow.
Tight fairways lots of water and trees
Course was in great shape played slow for the first 9 no marshals to move the one slow group along
Cart girls did not show up until 7th hole then they were around every other hole
Worth the money
Not Bad
This is a good course. Its challenging if you struggle getting off the tee box. Thick woods line the fairways and where there isn't woods there is water. If you're more than a foot off the fairway you're punching out. The course is in good shape and the staff was friendly enough. the pace of play wasn't bad for a saturday morning. There are few things this place could do better. There was one practice green, and by the time we started our round there was bout 30 people sharing 6 holes on a practice green. crowded. The GPS system on the carts was great. greens, fairways and tee boxes were what you would expect, no Augusta, but you're not paying for augusta. over all its a good value for a challenging and well maintained course.
Nice fun course with plenty of water challenge
That was my first time at Indian Creek and enjoyed the experience.
I hope to play there again, now that i know the course a little better.
Fun times
yardage markers
Course has hardly any yardage mmarkers. The tees had no signs telling about the hole or distance. Never saw 150 markers. I dont see well without my glasses and I dont want to go look at the GPS every time.
GREAT Course...Exceeded my expectations!
I had read some mixed reviews about Indian Creek, so I wasn't really sure what to expect having never played it before. All I can say is WOW!!! This course and staff are incredible. From the moment you step foot in the clubhouse, the staff can't do enough for you. Super-friendly and extremely helpful. The place is classy all-around (which is what you would expect from an Eagle Golf facility). Plus, the free coffee and free ice water are a nice touch - especially when its 100+ degrees outside. As for the golf course... It is very impressive. I played the Lakes Course and was very impressed with the conditions, which were perfect. It has nice natural features, as well as quite a few holes that require you to work the ball well which provided a nice challenge. The greens were perfect and rolled true as you would hope they would. Overall the course is amazing and the practice area is great too with a large chipping as well as putting green. The best views on the course however have to be the amazing cart girls. Not only were they stunningly beautiful (I can see why they have won AG Cart Girl of the Year), but they had to be the most friendly (and helpful) staff I have ever encountered. One even gave me advice on how a green broke and where to place my shot. If you haven't played this course, then you need to. And if you are a regular, I can understand why.
True Texas Feel
Surprisingly challenging course. I enjoyed the way it unfolded before us. Lots of trees and the trinity river comes into play several times.
I look forward to playing again soon. Maybe this time I will fair better.
Nice course
I have fun playing this course. Price different between the Creek and Lake course, but I don't see any different between the 2 same condition. I will play again for sure.
The course is in great shape.
The overall length of the course makes it easy and hitable for most. The tricky part is that there are a few dog legs and you have to know where to put the ball otherwise you end up in trouble. Great value, great staff, and a good round.
Bumpy - but great service
The staff is really friendly from check in to F&B. The F&B does really take care of its customers. However, there is no sand in the traps and the fairways are really bumpy. The greens are in great shape for the price. Just popped the greens a month ago. Want to play when the greens are fast.
Friendly staff, good GolfNow price. Good beginner course.
-Course was in good shape but driving the golf cart was like driving on a washboard road. The fairways and rough were very bumpy; teeth rattling and kidney pounding. Often times in the fairway you would get a poor lye because you ball would end up in a weird depression. It seems that this course was built a long time ago and earth moving equipment never truely graded the course.
The greens were good but slow and fuzzy.
Play there often
I enjoy this course on a regular basis with my family. Worth the green fee and the staff is very good to work with
Dog Leg City!
It seems every hole is a dog leg, which provides for an interesting challenge. If you want the special rate, you have to pay cart fee (which I would prefer to walk, but the price was too good to pass up). The range isn't that great, but the course itself is wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed my round...though the pace could move a little quicker as it was a twilight round.
Worth a play
Don't waste your money the lakes course at Indian Creek, because of the poor conditions they keep it in, but the Creek Course is always in pretty good condition. However, this is a hard course, so if you don't play at a mid to high level you may not have a good day.
Lot's of Water
This was a nicely laid out course. There was water on at least 11 of the 18 holes, and if the wind had not of been howling, it would probably have been more manageable. The greens were in decent shape, but require some attention. At least the pin placements were away from the rough patches on the green. The fairways were in pretty good shape, I give it a 6 out of a 10. For the price to play, I would probably opt for a different course in the area.
Very challenging course. Windy conditions adds more bite.
Very challenging course, especially in windy conditions. Plenty of variety throughout. Fairways were great. No signs between holes for directions?!?!? Please fix asap!
Terrible
Course is in awful condition. The greens were fuzzier than a woolly mammoth. Fairways were comparable to rough. They should be paying people to play this course.
Stick with the Creek course. It is in pristine condition.
Course has great potential if it was better maintained
Most greens were not mowed, those that were mowed were uneven. 4 person tournament in front of us with some teams hitting anywhere from 4-8 shots from same locations. Some shots not going more than few yards and then hitting from there. Course had no marshals to regulate play and we sometimes had up to 5 groups on one hole. Not happy with overall experience.
Nice course. Shop staff not so much.
The course played great. Unfortunately, I did not so much. My only issue was the shop staffer was on the phone with his friend for 5 minutes while I was waiting. I even asked him to attend to me and talk to his friend later and he still put me off. If he isn't working you should have a great time.
Very challenging course, not in the best shape.
I would play it again, but the pace of play was too slow, and there was a lot of hard pan in the fairways and some traps.
