Cypress Lakes Golf Club

Cypress Lakes was in very good condition today. Greens, traps & fairways all good. The pace of play was good as sometimes it can be slow. Mucho hot out..... but a good day,,,

I had a good time despite the 102 heat. The rough had been mown recently and that was much appreciated.

Glad the snack bar bar was open after nine holes for ice. They came out fairly quick with another golf cart after the one I was using ran out of juice. These things happen. Greens had been sanded so my putting wasn’t the best. They spend a lot of time keeping these greens the best around.

I now consider this as my go-to local course. The conditions are usually very good here and the pace of play is very good, and the course is challenging but not too difficult. As a low 20's handicapper I find this course about perfect for my style of play and it's close by which is a huge benefit. In my opinion it might be as good or better than Black Horse for a much better value as well.

Great course and staff. We usually play twilight as normal rates seem a bit high.

Course was in very good condition especially with the lack of rain this summer, many courses are in terrible shape but Cypress Lakes has kept the course in exceptional condition, definitely impressed.

Just myself and my son who is a very infrequent player, so we totally enjoyed the fact that we weren’t pressed or pushed and still completed our round in a decent amount of time. Disappointed in the quality of the greens, usually a strong suit of this course but this time were pretty spotty and running a little slow. Our first cart, the brake lock wasn’t working but were able to swap out with no problems. Clubhouse staff very friendly and helpful

Chose the latest tee time offered, just before 4pm. This worked out well as the worst of the heat passed and the wind picked up. There was one hole though where the first cut of rough was high enough to obscure the ball until I nearly stepped on it. I couldn’t use my club of choice, had to go with a more useful 4 wood to get the ball out.

I have been playing on this course almost 30 years - it was in the worse condition ever. Driving range looked like a dog patch, fairways had uneven grass everywhere, and the greens (which had always been among the best in the city) are now the worst. Very disappointed.

Very nice course. Greens were aerated and a few weeks from being perfect. Bunkers are mostly muddy. Otherwise, it is well kept. I wouldn't pay full price but I'd come back if I get a good deal.
