One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

Good price but course not in good shape
The course was not in good condition but for the price I enjoy it.
Wow!
I have been trying to play this cource for a while now because I heard it was a great place to play. Now that I have played, I'll never go back. Looks are deceiving because when you drive up it looks wonderful, but the ground was so hard that my 300-yard drive went for a good 400. Maybe I'm exaggerating but you get my point. Once on the greens I couldn't hit it soft enough. All I can say is I have never been so disappointed in a cource. It may be 10 minutes from my house, but I'd rather drive an hour.
Course in good shape
Great golf in December. The greens were a little slow.
Fun Round
Cypress Lakes is always solid. Good mix of holes that make you use almost every club in the bag. We finished in just about 4:15 which I thought was pretty good for a Saturday afternoon. The cart girl was around a bunch too. We probably saw her six times during the round. Great job. The breakfast burrito was also a nice way to start the day.

Always like this course and it stays in decent shape
Great Shape, Greens Rolling True
The greens are in fantastic shape. Fairways good too. I like the layout, especially the 2nd time playing as there are no surprises. A little crowded but probably due to the great weather. Only two issues we had, but not relating to the course itself:
1. Pro shop was closed when we finished at 4:30, strange.
2. Some kids were riding their bicycles in front of tee boxes and on cart paths. Called Marshall and assumed they were scatted off.
Will definitely go back.
