One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

Fun challenging course with all the lakes- stay out of the water and it’s a fun course.. fairways are generous trees are spared out & well groomed
Greens are in really good shape!
Great place to get into the game
Lots of good holes that are challenging but also enough to boost confidence for a new player as well as a smooth pace for some buddies to get after it.
Tee boxes soil are very hard and difficult to put a tee into the ground.
Always good to beat the temperature
It was 93 and I scored a 90. Temporary green on 9 is beginning to seem permanent after a couple of months. Did hear some grumbling in my foursome over the shortage of golf carts late in the afternoon. We made do with two.

The course held some water but overall drained well considering how much rain fell in a short period of time. they are still working on the 9th green and have a temporary green set up. there practice putting green is also a work in progress. driving range was open , mat only. The current mats are well past there expiration date. Time to upgrade them guys. Hard to say how the greens were because it was so wet, but normally they are fantastic. Yes I would recommend this course.

Good value
It’s no black horse, or agusta. Everyone (5 groups) somehow teed off at the exact same time as my prebooked time. I’ve played this one before, and will play again. Great value for the money, I’ve gotten stuck behind people pretty much every time I’ve played.
