One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

Surprisingly good course.
We really enjoyed this round. I didn’t loose a single ball. Not as many daunting lakes as the name would indicate.

Green getting better
Sand need work more rain coming don’t count on it
Always a must play recommend
Green are faster normal but most punched green are being grown for rain coming
Great Course for the Money
Course overall is in really good shape. Bunkers and water in play on a lot of holes. Almost all greens were in great shape compared to others around the city. Will definitely be back.
Course in good shape
The course was in good shape except number 9 green which is being reconstructed. I wish they had a beverage cart going around.
Course is shaping up
Fairways are in pretty decent shape. Considerably better than the last time I played about a month ago. The rain has them nice and green and they are no longer rock hard. The tee boxes could use a little more water. The greens were recently “punched” so weren’t rolling true but they weren’t too bad. Temporary green on #9. Overall good value and definitely would recommend putting it in the rotation of courses to play .
Cypress was on point
Great layout. Nice course in good shape. You could tell they put a lot of work in the greens, but they rolled true at a decent spread. One temp green.
SLOW
Course looks good and fairways are nice. Greens are good with the exception of #9 as there is a temporary green due to recent freeze. My big complaint is the slowness of play. Do not book this course unless you are ready for a 5hr round. I played on a weekday and it was still 5hrs. I can only imagine if I played Fri-Sun.
Great round for a late Saturday
Great round. Was a bit of slow pace as we had to wait for the group in front on pretty much all 18 holes, but was still enjoyable. Fairways were nice, bunkers were soft (as I was in quite a few of them during the round), and most importantly greens were rolling true.
Pretty challenging layout with lots of water and trees to frame many of the holes. Will return again.
