One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

Green had been sanded
Like the layout and greens usually but today green were to sandy.
Cypress Lakes
The course was in good shape, only negative it was pretty dry seemed to need some water. Pace of play was really good as we finished in less than 4-hours and never waited on the group in front of us for more than a few minutes. The layout can be difficult, but fair. All in all a great day with perfect 85dg. weather.

I have given several good excellent reviews on this course, that is why I play this course most of my golfing outings.
The best part of this course are the greens,
The practice putting green is the same condition as the greens on the course.
This is the only course I have ever played where this is true.
When you practice on the practice green you can expect the same condition putting the greens on the course.
Try a different place. Not worth it.
Course is in very bad shape. Not worth the $50 or $60 that you would spend. Best case is $25. Staff is not friendly either. There are many other courses better in Houston.
Pins
No pins!! Would have a 5 star review on course conditions alone, but the fact there were no pins is frustrating! Use inverted cups instead of having players guess with a pin placement chart.
Good course.....crowded
Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were well-kept and fast. This course can get windy due to the fact there is little to break it up. Back 9 had been ariated. They have removed the flag poles so you will be hitting into the green with limitations. Tee boxes were in pretty good shape. The day I played it was slow and backed up. Saw several 5somes.
I play this course 90percent of my golf playing time, since I am a member of this course
I have already sent in 3 reviews, highly recommending this course.

Greens are great
I play at this course 99percent of the time usually 3 times a week.
I am running out of words in describing its good features.
If you are going to send me a review each time I use your score card on your app, I need to quit using your app
Great course, we'll kept, nice fairways and greens!
If you b have never played here, its a must try. Very nice course!
Covid cautious
One person per cart. No flags in holes, so if you don’t have a gps you’re in trouble.
Great greens
I am a member at this course.
The greens are excellent. They are also fast and well kept.
The practice putting green at the club house is in the same condition as the greens on the course.
So, when you practice on the putting green at the club house, you can expect to get the same roll and speed on the course.
Greens are fast and excellent

I joined because I like the course.
I have been a member for 2 years.
Not planning on leaving.
Well Kept and Great Staff
The course was in near perfect condition. You get challenges from hills and bunkers around the greens and the occasional water, which makes the occasional straight and clear fairway that much more fun to attack. Each hole had some obvious things to watch out for and build a strategy around, but I'm saying this as a novice player.
The greens rolled true except for the occasional unfixed scrape/divot the small bit of waiting we had was no big deal with perfect weather and a couple cheap beers from the clubhouse. Both times I have been here the staff has been both friendly and helpful which is no surprise when you see how they take care of their course too. As long as I can scrape together another 40-50 bucks, I'd imagine I will be back to Cypress Lakes again next time I'm in Houston.
