One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

First Time on Course
Played Cypress Lakes on Monday the 23rd for the first time and was really pleased with the course layout and condition of greens and fairways, there were a few areas where water accumulated from rain but overall great condition. The greens were fairly fast which I like and the ball rolled true on puts , not much roll on drives in fairways due to previous days rain but still ok. I highly recommend the golf course and will definitely play again real soon.
Tough but Nice
The course was in great shape, especially the greens. The "rough" on either side of the fairway was a little rocky/hard, otherwise the course was perfect.
The trees, water, hills, and bunkers give you something to think about on almost every shot - specifically, the tee shots demanded more than other courses I've played. The staff were friendly, helpful, and available which made the place worth returning to in opinion.
Cypress Lakes spring golf
The course is playing fast getting alot of roll out. Still very enjoyable round of golf. The greens were a little hard had plenty of grass. Look like the course will be a good summer challenge like always.
Greens perfect
Best greens I have seen in any course in some time
Highly recommended
2 star
Pro shop staff 1 star. Range balls covered in mud "forgot to clean them".
Course is firm, kind of burnt. Greens are fine and fast.
Pace of play was very bad. No marshalls. No one paired up. Twosome took 2.5 hours to play 9. Check other options.
Great course. Excellent condition. Lot of water but friendly if you’re careful with your shots and realize your shots won’t always be the same but the course rules.
My son and I first time to play the course.. enjoyed it very much, course and greens were in great shape.
Great Course
One of nicest courses in greater Houston area. Plenty of challenges but not bad if you hit it straight. A lot of water but fairways are not too tight. Loved the greens.
Cypress Lakes
Greens were great. Downhill from there. Not much grass in fairways. Not a $75 course. Can’t imagine how dry it must be in the summer...
Overall very nice
First time here but really enjoyed the condition the course was in for a January. I will be back
Nice course
Nice layout, while it was only a 4.5 hour round, felt like an eternity waiting on groups between holes. Increase pace of play to 4 hours and space out tee times better, overall a fun track.
Wonderful course
Played Wednesday it was a beautiful Day and a beautiful course . . Greens are tricky .
Great layout-Fast Greens
Really enjoy playing this course. Layout is challenging for the most part for the average golfer. Will play it again soon.
Texas Winter
This course is always in good shape. Great value for the money.
