One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

Great course, FAST greens!
Lots of water, but, unless you REALLY spray the ball, the water rarely comes into play. Greens are really fast, almost Augusta National fast, but there was sand and they had been rolled that morning, so the player I was with said they are usually fast, but this was extreme. Fairways and tee boxes were in great condition. Rough was not too deep, but it did penalize you. You could get behind a tree, but, again, only a really bad shot would cause that. Very happy with the course, pace of play (3.5 hours), and hope to play there again soon!
Nice, well kept course.
We enjoyed the course . The greens were great but, a little sandy. I intend to go back again.
Nice suburban course
Cypress Lakes is a nice suburban course considering it is in a relatively new neighborhood....houses are still being constructed along holes ~15-16. The terrain is nice for so close-in to Houston, so it will be very nice in 10-20 years when the trees mature and provide a bit more shade / obstacles. Overall it is a challenging course with good variety.
This was a nicely landscaped course.
This was a well Maintained course. I will play there agai
Several holes have water hazards that are hard to see from tee box.
Pretty good course had a good time. The course is in good condition and is easy to follow.
Good course for the money. Greens are little bit bumpy right now, not up to the usual standards at Cypress Lakes

Very pleased
Enjoyed the round of golf played on 6/16/13.Course was challenging and fun to play. Will return soon.
Great shape
One of me favorite courses in Houston. Greens where just done but in a few days should be perfect. Little high but worth it.
Cypress Lakes Golf Club
My if and I got a Hot Dal and teamed up with a couple of young golfer. We ahd a good ound, the pace of play was good and a marshal was always around checking. The course is wide open but needs accuracy as well. There is some water and the flag positions were challenging. Normaly out of our price range but the Hot Deal made it very good value.
From tee to green...Excellent condition
Played a round Thursday afternoon after finding a great discount on GNow. The course is in excellent condition, plush fairways, and fast green.
Only issue, no beverage cart and No Marshall... We could have used some help with the slow play but other than that we were pretty pleased with the overall experience...a must play!!
Going back out there next week.
Give it a couple of weeks!
Looking for Hasballa! Felt like I was playing in Saudi Arabia whenever I hit the greens. I understand that annual maintanance is must for any quility course and Cyprus is no exception. The fairways were outstanding and the overall feel of the course was fun, and here is the required 'but', the greens were being attended to an they were a mess. While there, they were being sanded and 'screened' so it was like playing in the desert. No kidding! Wait a few weeks and they should be back to the 'Best in Houston' rating that they were a week ago.
Oh, and parking on the other side of an unused building and schlepping to the pro shop to get your cart was very annoying. I dont mind a walk, but no marked walkway and cutting around the end of that building, could have been designed better.
Ok my whiney baby is done. sorry just telling it like it is.
Fun track in great shape
The course was playing quite fast with firm fairways and receptive greens. Putting surfaces were immaculate. Bunkers were well-maintained. The round was very enjoyable.
Great Course! Would play again
I shoot in the high 90's low 100's and this course was difficult for me but not ridiculously hard. It was well maintained and was in great overall shape.
Great course
Course is in great shape. The greens are fantastic.
good greens
Greens are about healed from aeration, rolling well even with some sand left
This Rain should help the rest of the course
This course was wonderful
One of the best course I have ever played in Houston.
Well maintained fairway and green.
I like fast green like this.
I enjoyed very much.
great greens
fairway grass is a little tight. need just a little more grass. greens are true and roll great. overall great fun little course. greens look to be recently sanded but hold shots are not a fast as normal.
Great layout on a fast track with excellent greens
Lots of water with good sand in the bunkers, but the fairways need more water...a little too hard and fast.
I was expecting as nice as Blackhorse G.C.
The greens --were fast , but not anywhere close to being "the best in Houston"--some holes are close together, with incoming stray balls. The layout was just o.k.--I will not drive from Sugar Land to play there again.
The greens are great
Played at 3pm and finised 7:15pm; too crowded and slow; foursome in front was 2 holes behind, but no ranger to control the flow.
The greens are suffering from unrepaired ball marks.
