One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

Fun Course
Fast greens, good challenge. Enjoyed the experience
Consistent conditions
Greens are always in great shape. Only thing keeping them from being PERFECT is the treatment and lack of repair by either lazy or uneducated golfers. FIX YOUR BALL MARKS!!
Well maintained - excellent condition
This course is challenging, with some very difficult holes. Greens are in top condition, but extremely fast with lots of breaks. The front nine has lots of water hazards, the back nine is easier.
well manicured greens...true!
I have not played this course for several years. We decided to play from the tips and the course was somewhat wide open for those that can keep the ball somewhat straight. Greens were true and putted fair.
Course was in good shape.
Course was in good shape. Greens were fast as usual. Rough and around the greens was thicker than usual. Some of the thick areas around the green seemed to penalize OK shots.
Fast greens in great shape
I've played this course many times and never seen the greens in better shape. But they have always been great!
Slow Play, fast greens
I doubt we will be back. The course had fast greens, but very bumpy. We played on a Wednesday after noon and it was super slow!
Great condition
The course was in really good condition and presented a moderate challenge. I had rained the day before so I can not speak about the bunkers, the were still wet. If you get a chance to play here, I would highly recommend it. Also it was a little rainy, so the course was wide open, your playing time may be more than 31/2 hours.
Nice value!
Good price to play in this course, but the pace was too slow with too many poeple. Some people were not following the route and waited for them to find their golf balls.
Course is fun, but the rough is too long
I have played Cypress Lakes many times. It is a challenging, but fair course. The greens are fast and one of the best in Houston.
The last time that I played there, they had let the rough grow. I would like to say that every drive hits the fairway, but they don't. It was frustrating to hit good shots and to be penalized when they disappeared into the grass.
I complained to the staff in the Pro Shop after the round. I had been telling my friends about the course, but I now I tell them to avoid it.
It has everything.
Great course. Be glad when trees are mature. Need shade.
manager look around
Have someone service carts before & after use. It rained and after it stopped I had to find someone to help me
