Shingle Creek Golf Club

Course was in fantastic condition. By far the best greens of all public courses in the central Florida area I have played. Greens were very undulating, rolled very consistent and around an 11 maybe 12 when we played. Par’s on Front 9 is great score, #14 great risk reward hole and plenty of birdie opportunities on holes 10, 12, 14, 15 and 16. Very difficult course if playing from the tips. Golf course is up next to a nature preserve with lots of wildlife, bodies of water and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend this course.

Staff was great. Course was rewarding for good shots. Love the risk reward par 4's. Can't wait to play again

First of all should not have t times after 2. Will never finish. 48.00 for a 6 pack of beer. 64.00 to park at course unless you scan a bar code very nice driving range putting green , course very nice shape well layed out, so having a so called hot deal for 100.00 not really worth it for 16 holes

I don’t normally write a narrative review, but I am compelled to do so in this case. First, we had an excellent lunch, then enjoyed a wonderful round of golf with 2 friends, which was enhanced by the 4th (Jeff) who besides being a good golfer was a very nice young man.

After golf, we stopped in for a cocktail and ended up staying for dinner, which turned out to be a wise decision as the food was exceptional, so big kudos to the chef and staff. I had an amazing crab cake appetizer followed by one of the best pork chops I have ever politely devoured.

In summary, I would unequivocally recommend that you make the effort to golf and/ or dine at Shingle Creek; you will not be disappointed!

Group in front of us was texting and talking on the phone with us waiting on them to hit their shots. Called the pro shop and a ranger talked to them. Things didn’t improve. The ranger really didn’t help anything. After our 5 hour round I complained to the clubhouse employee at the register but he was not sympathetic. He said 4 hours and 40 minutes was normal. The place has incompetent employees and a 5 hour round is ridiculous. Play elsewhere in Orlando. The other courses are much better.

Overall fine. Could use grab and go sandwiches at the turn.

Every time I visit the Orlando area, Shingle Creek is a must play. Golf Course is always in great shape with fast greens combined with great practice areas. Had no issues with pace of play. Staff have always been friendly and very helpful. Without hesitation I recommend Shingle Creek so much so that I have another tee time during this Orlando visit.

Green fast, but fair

The pace of play was too fast for my liking, but we and all the others on the course we’re trying to beat the sunset. Other than that it was a great round. The course is not as intimidating as the computer-generated “fly-over” would lead one to believe. Hope to play again when I’m back in this area.

Would play again and would recommend to anyone.

Note to all: The vast majority of slow golfers do not know that they are slow.. if you cannot, as a single golfer with a cart, comfortably play 18 holes in two hours..or with a foursome 3.5 hours... you are by definition slow... pick it up.. line up puts while others are putting.. play ready golf.. learn what ready golf means... agree with your foursome to skip honors golf if it slows you down... if you are not keeping up with the golfers in front of you... get moving or get out of the way. ..learn the correct way to manage a cart on the course...

Fast golf does not mean bad or sloppy golf.... fast golf is more fun for everyone.. and if you can learn these simple rules.. and teach them to others, everyone will benefit.. thank you!

I got this as a hot deal so I got my money’s worth but would have been disappointed if paid full price. Greens were very fast which I typically like but with as many humps and side hills it wasn’t to my likening. The practice green is very much like the course. Good practice facility. Also having to register for parking was unusual and potentially expensive if you did not do it…
