MetroWest Golf Club
About
This Robert Trent Jones Sr. design is one of the area’s most venerable venues. The fluid beauty of MetroWest provides for a challenging but playable experience. Wide rolling fairways give all levels of players the opportunity to find the short grass, and the four sets of tees working from 7,051 yards down to the 5,325-yard forward tees make hitting greens in regulation a reasonable endeavor. No push over, though, bunkers seem to anchor every corner on every dogleg and elevation changes of up to 100 feet in some circumstances tug back in the course’s favor.

Metro West
Tee boxes were not in the best of shape and there was an awful lot of mowed grass in the fairways and the fairways need a lot of water
Great value for money if you are not a country club golfer
Can't beat the discounted fees of $27. Special lower green fees during spring areation and sanding of the greens. Budget golf at its best. Rough fairways, sandy greens, but love the low fees.
Nice course!
The course itself is beautiful. I have a couple of small complaints from my own personal experience that day. First, the course signage needs improvement. I found myself on the wrong tees because signage wasn't clear enough to fallow. Furthermore, they only have one total yardage. I didn't know if it was for white, blue, or red tees. Second, a crew member on the 16 or 17 hole started the mower right when I was swinging and messed up my shot. Other than that, the course is beautiful and well maintained. I like the underground tunnels going to some of the greens.
poorly maintained
The clubhouse is very dated and poorly maintained. The layout of the golf course is decent, but the course maintenance is extremely poor. It is an absolute waste of both your money and your day to go play there.
the fairways were poorly maintained they need work
Best days behind it
I know we haven’t had a lot of rain but this course is in wrough shape. Greens were aerated so only $35 but that’s all this course is worth in the current shape even after greens come back. Almost no grass on the tee boxes and plenty of dead spots in fairways. Ground is hard as a rock. Need to state fairways. Greens were the best part even with them being pinched. Staff was friendly. Cat girl was a little slow making it around for it not being super busy but she was nice.
Weirdest course
Range was closed per the sign at the pro shop but seems like maybe members were the only ones allowed to use it? Greens were punched, tee boxes need major TLC, and can we get something better than just large sticks painted to show the tee boxes? Hot dog was $10 at the turn 😂
Just punched greens
Overall good conditions. Was told about aeration done the day before so knew what to expect. Still greens in better shape than some.
Improved track
I have recently played MetroWest two out of the last three weeks. It's one of my favorite courses however, the greens were aerorated this past Monday. Greens were very bumpy and sandy. That being said, I appreciate the efforts to improve this course. Staff was very friendly.
Consistent golf
Been going to metro west for years now. Holes are challenging. Greens in good shape. Know we will always have a good time
Descent course for the money
Descent course for the money. Can be slow at times. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms.
Much improved
The greens are all in great condition. Fairways still some love but overall they are what I have seen at most of the local public courses. I am in upper 70’d (my age) not handicap so the addition of a senior tee would be nice.
Metro West
We finished the round in 3.5 hours which now days is unheard of. I guess playing on mondays accounts for thati
Once great now just sad
This course used to be one of the best in Orlando. Now it’s just a sad representation of what once was. Owner hasn’t been to the course in three years. Course has no maintenance staff and is only cut once a month. Avoid the disappointment and play somewhere else.
Club house personnel
The gentleman in the clubhouse who checked me at the counter in was not friendly or inviting at all! He needs to have better customer service etiquette. He was dressed like someone who is a manager but didn’t behave accordingly. The young man outside was far more professional and inviting.
Great Day, Great Course!
We had a great round at MetroWest! Pace of play was awesome, staff was great and the course was in great shape! This is a challenging track that is easy to get to in Orlando and I would highly recommend it to my friends. I will play there again soon!
