Great price. OK course.
The layout is fine. The rough is dead. The fairways are thin and the green has been invaded by weeds.
Course is in decent shape but pace of play is horrible.
The pace of play is so bad I am currently on the 17th hole and I am able to write this review. Upon start our tee time was at 11:00. (They have everyone starting on the back). We did not start until 11:20. We learned from the starter they were booking 4somes in 4 minute intervals. Ridiculous. And then a ranger came out and asked what’s going on. What’s going on is you guys over booked. I’ve never seen a course book tee times in 4 minute intervals. This will be a 5hr plus round.

Very disappointed
Course overall In terrible shape. Fairways were OK, but needed to be cut. Not much rough – mostly sand and weeds. Greens slow and in many cases in need of repair. Pace awful - waited on every hole. Starter Mark very friendly - the high point of our round.

First time playing here in 5 years
I grew up playing at this course. From the early 2000's until ~2014, it was a tremendous course. Well manicured, primo.
I took a 5 year break from this course after ownership changes and the course went severely downhill.
I am conflicted with this review because I can really tell that whoever is running this course now is really trying. Looks like they are renovating the clubhouse area, currently they are putting a new roof on it. On a Monday morning, they had a very attentive ranger who made sure my 2-some was experiencing good pace of play behind a 4-some and eventually directly made sure the group of 4 allowed us to play through. For that, I was really appreciative. Starter was friendly, and also helped with pace of play.
However, this course still has a ways to go to even being average to above average. Tee boxes were hit or miss ... areas around the tee boxes were either sand or dirt for the most part. The rough was nonexistent ... if you missed the fairway, you were either in weeds or some sort of packed dirt situation. As a compliment, the fairways (except for the 12th hole) were actually pretty well cared for. The greens have some sort of different, unintended grass growing on them right now. The pace of the greens were incredibly slow (it just rained this weekend, I should note) and not a smooth surface at all due to the aforementioned foreign grass growing.
I say all of those things, but I can also say that while we were there, there was numerous people out there cutting grass, attending to the course. As mentioned, the staff was incredibly attentive. Seriously more attentive than a lot of very highly rated courses in this area.
I can tell they are trying. I appreciate that very much. It seems like Metrowest needs a pretty significant cash infusion to restore to what I remember it being growing up in Orlando.

Nice course
Really like the course. Greens were in fair condition. Course was very wet from morning rain but played fair.

Phenomenal course layout
Terrific course design that was very poorly maintained. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous. Hope they get their act together and maintain this gem of a course in a fashion it deserves.

Poor Condition
First and last time I will play this course. Ownership relies on architect of course to draw in customers. Great lay out but greens were very rough, had weeds growing in them and grass was burnt up. Each green had ropes and stakes in front of which interfered with play. Tees were thin and no hole had markings. Very poor shape. Would not recommend at all.

I'm in total agreement with you. I wasted $120 for two of us on this coarse. Never again.

The course was in horrible condition, which is unfortunate because the layout is really nice. This course has a lot of potential, and I’ve heard they’re working on bettering it. Staff was friendly, pace of play was good.

Improved from last time
MetroWest Golf Club is much improved from the last time I played it. Tee boxes and fairways were in better shape however, the greens still needs some work. There was no " grab" on the greens. It was almost like playing a links course. Like putting on a table tennis table. It was an enjoyable round, just fix the greens.

Greens are bad
Love the course and layout.
The greens have weeds all over them.

great rate for that location and time of year
Greens was nice. Nothing real special about them. Fairways was fair. Layout was bland. You saw on the tee box what the hole was all about. Did have some monster par 3s.
Still needs a lot of work
The tee boxes have some grass but still need a lot of work. The fairways are ok but the roughs are just dirt especially around the greens. The pace of play is unforgivable slow. There is no course management at all. The foursome in front of us were riding their carts up on the greens. Shame. The course has such potential.

Playing review
Course is coming along. Lots to be done, but grooming is catching up & ponds are clearing out. .greens are thin and running @9-10. As heat returns dormancy will subside and the course will, once again, look like it's promo pics & play at that level.. Love the access and lack of encroaching housing.

Continues to impress
Course continues to improve every time I play here. Course superintendent definitely making a difference. Sand traps still need work buy better than 3 months ago. I’ll be back!
