Solid challenge on a nice layout
Have played this course several times over the past couple of years. It has always been in good condition, even during the summer heat in Florida. It is a nice mix of some challenging, some easier holes, and some quite scenic holes. It also has a touch of elevation here and there, so not completely flat like some older style Florida layouts. Being a private course, the pace of play has been very good whenever I have been there.
Wonderful Experience
Played for the first time recently, had a wonderful time. Course was in good shape, and the staff were all very friendly.
An excellent course
I have visited this course previously and always planned on playing next time we were in the area.. Very pretty course. Challenging for me, but with a group of friends I had my best round ever. Great clubhouse and friendly staff at the bar.
I was recommend this course originally by the website

Awesome Nicklaus Design Course
Had a chance to play the Golden Bear Club at Keene's Point last month with a member and few friends while in town. The course and facilities are some of the best in the area and worth every penny. The recent upgrades to facility have proven to be well worth the money. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service from the time we arrived on property to the time we left the restaurant. The Pizza is the best I have ever had!!!!!!!!Even though I was a guest, I felt as though I was a member of the club. Given the chance to play the course again I would jump at the opportunity. Truly and wonderful experience and a wonderful golf course.
Always Fantastic!
I've had the opportunity to play this course multiple times and it's always great! Fair off the tee but challenging when you miss in the wrong spots. The staff, course conditions and facilities are top notch!
Fabulous Course
For a course that is developed within neighborhoods it is a great example of how the homes don't interfere with the golf experience. The course has great visual lines from the tee boxes with lots of bunkers framing the landing areas. Green complexes are coordinated with the bunkers to provide lots of great pin locations. The course Is in great shape. Great practice area to warm up. Definitely a course I could play everyday.
Awesome
i have a friend that lives on the course and specifically come to play here when I visit. Very pretty course. Challenging for a high handicapper like me, but with my friend caddying for me I had my best round ever. Great food and friendly staff at the bar.
Top notch!
Course is always in great shape. Pace of play is never a problem as I notice most golfers are on the same page of keeping it moving. The staff is always nice and it only took a couple of trips for them to remember my name. Always a warm welcome when I arrive at the course. They grounds crew is out daily to make sure the course is in tip top. This is one of the better courses overall in the Orlando area. Enjoy your round!
Keene's Pointe
Keene's Pointe is a classic Jack Nickalus design and one of only a few in Central Florida. Ample room off the tee, Keene's Pointe is a second shot golf course. Narrow greens are mostly elevated with severe and deep bunkering around most complexes. Always in great shape and very enjoyable to play. A great setting, through a housing development, but in no way obtrusive to the golf course. Often overlooked as a top course in Orlando because of its close proximity to better known Isleworth, Keene's Pointe can hold it's own with all the best in Orlando.
One of the best courses in Orlando!
This is definitely one of my favorite courses in the Orlando area. It's like a "mini" Isleworth which is next door.
The course is challenging just as any Nicklaus design is but it's great. Always in nice shape and the driving range, putting green, and facilities are equally nice.
The par 3's are long and there is some water to maneuver around but if you can do that, you'll be in good shape. The greens are usually very quick as well! I definitely recommend this course!
An Enjoyable Challenge
I have had the chance to play The Golden Bear Club on a number of occasions and really enjoy the experiences. I played many years ago when the greens were very grainy. A few seasons back, they were totally replaced with a new strain of grass. The results were smoother, faster greens with less grain that were a bit easier on a guy who's used to playing golf on bent grass greens in the northeast.
The conditioning over the last few years has been much improved, with a renewed focus on the little details.
Being an Orlando local now, I will definitely be looking into membership in the near future.
Completely worth it - Nicklaus gem
Jack NIcklaus loves generous fairways and you have it on Keene's Pointe but the issue is some greens are easier to access from the CORRECT side of the short grass. This is a members only club that will hopefully allow you access. If you can find your way onto the course you will not be disappointed. The practice facility is serviceable - although they could use a better short game chipping and pitching area.
The one thing I walk away from Keene's Pointe is why can't all golf courses have greens this good. If you read it right edge and you hit it right edge, you'll be making that putt and many others should you be rolling the rock well. The course snakes through a residential community that backs up to Isleworth - which leaves you admiring not only a beautiful golf course but some pretty houses surrounded by the Butler Chain of lakes. There are several tees from which to play - if you want your hat handed to you, one foot in the rough may be a bit too much to ask. From the middle set of tees, you get a fair but challenging golf course that doesn't let up from hole 1 through 18. The par 5's are easily the best attribute of this course with four really challenging & four really different looks at holes over 500 yards.
