Myerlee Country Club
About
Myerlee Golf & Country Club began as the dream of a retired New York police officer who moved to Florida in the 1960s just so he could play more golf. His dream eventually became a peaceful retirement community with a beautiful 18-hole course as its centerpiece. The Arthur Hills-designed layout is one of the toughest par-60 golf courses in southwest Florida. There are two streams that cut across the course and intersect on the front nine. They snake along every hole, making water the predominant hazard but there are also several strategically placed bunkers to watch out for. The golf course is mostly open with a few cypress trees dotted along the fairways and greens. Myerlee Golf & C.C. is a course that will test your skills but it isn't overly punishing, which gives it appeal for beginners as well.

Nice Exec Course
I like Myerlee. Starter was great, got us out early. Pace of play was very good. Course in very good shape, just wish there was a bit more grass in some areas, but generally good. Will play again.
Good For Executive.
Good mix of shorter holes, and nice greens/complexes.
Unsatisfied
Course was in poor condition with very little grass in most places. Pace of play was terrible with NO ranger out there keeping the group ahead on pace - there were two full holes open in front of them and the foursome was playing two balls each. Unacceptable!!!
Only when I’m desperate
The course could be much better with a little TLC but as is not worth $78.00 (senior rate), high points staff was friendly and helpful, halfway house well stocked and staff was pleasant despite having a full house of customers! Low points pace of play was slow for a short course, our foursome waited on almost every hole on back between hawking balls and just slow play. Course conditions was horrible other than the greens which I thought were in excellent condition.
Overall I will not be back anytime soon!
Nice greens
I played this course about four years ago. Major improvements! The greens are very nice for an executive course.
Dead fish
There were dozens of dead fish all over in water, on banks, etc. smell was awful….was a shame because course was good. Won’t go back. When I mentioned to worker he just shrugged his shoulders and said maintenance will be in tomorrow…….awful, awful smells!
Typical Myerlee……….Slow
There was no Starter on duty, no Rangers. When you allow “Five Somes” at 8 o’clock in the morning you’re setting up a slow round for everyone else, which is exactly what continues to happen at Myerlee. An 8:10 tee time should not be 15 minutes late teeing off. A four hour round where you wait on every hole is ridiculous. At least we had a cart. When we finally finished there were at least four groups waiting for carts. It’s frustrating, especially when it can be fixed easily. NO FIVESOMES!!
Enjoyed!
We enjoyed our Loop, the course was in good shape considering the time of year. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pace of play was terrible, waited every hole, every shot.
Golf Now…LET ME DOWN…Give GN an F-
Our Tee Time was supposed to be 7:25 at Myerlee Country Club on Saturday 02/07/2026.
When I arrived at the course they told me they did not have a Tee Time for me and my guest.
They said they had a VFW league play from 7:00am to 10:00 am. I was not happy.
Pretty embarrassing when I had to explain to my guest that we would not be paying golf.
Golf Now took my money and did not have me scheduled for a Tee Time.
Nice executive course option
Generally what you would expect in early February for a Bermuda grass surface. Greens were in very good condition. Fairways & rough a bit sketchy.
Only real issue is pace of play. Expect a diversity of ability levels, lot of high handicaps & apparent newbies.
Never saw a ranger monitoring position. With 1 par 5 & only 4 par 4s, should be 3 hours or under. We were nearing 4 hours when the last putt rolled in.
Staff we did encounter were very pleasant & professional.
We do apologize for the dead fish along the course in the waterways. Unfortunately there was an extreme cold front that came though southwest Florida and in doing so killed many fish in the canals. It is unfortunate that the day you played you had to deal with the smell. I would hope you give Myerlee another chance as this was a very rare environmental issue that was out of our control. Thank you.
