Bear Creek Golf Club - West Course
About
Conveniently located adjacent to the DFW Airport, Bear Creek Golf Club serves up two Ted Robinson-designed, 18-hole masterpieces that are known for their stunning topography and outstanding greens. And with both golf courses playing around 6,700 yards from the tips, golfers can hit long irons and fairway woods off the tee to keep it in the fairway, which is mandatory for a good round on these tight courses. Bear Creek's West Course is demanding early, and is significantly more difficult on the front side. However, the back side opens up and allows some room for error, making this the track of choice for the high handicapper. Nos. 6 and 7 stand out on the demanding front. No. 6 requires a blind tee shot and an approach over water, and no. 7 might be the most difficult on the golf course: a 380-yard par 4 that plays into the wind and also involves water. The back side has the signature hole, the scenic 180-yard 17th, which plays along a lake.

always a good place to play
rare day I guess, but the pace was perfect, the pro shop staff is always awesome, carts and course in really good shape. This is what a golf outing was meant to be.
Back to Bear Creek
It's been a while since I played either course. I will not wait as long before I play here again. Keep up the good work.
Solid Winter Conditions
The course is in good shape for winter conditions. Greens are very fast for December.
Good times @ Bear Creek
Three (3) of us went out and had a great time. We have all played the course in the past and have never been disappointed. Good times, thank yoy!
Bear Creek
Played on a cold and sunny Friday afternoon at 1150. Got there early and had lunch at the restaurant. Good meal with pleasant service. Check in was easy and friendly. Starter explained the course, and got us out a few minutes early. Pace of play was 3.5 hours (Wow). We saw the cart girl 3 times on the front and twice on the back. The greens were good, as were the fairways. There were quite a few leaves on the course, but we are about 3 weeks from them being completely gone for the rest of the winter.
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves, and will be back.
Bunkers very uneven. Many greenside had less than 1 inch sand before hitting concrete liner. Most fairway bunkers had too much sand.
Course and weather great
Greens running fast and true.
Course in very good shape.
Cart girl came around 3 times.
Start time 11:56 and finished by 4:10 and that was on a crowded Sunday.
Good golf with good guys
I tend to make single player tee times and occasionally get paired with ……. Well this round I was paired with 2 great guys… both singles… and we had similar games. It was cold as a miners keester and a howling wind… but otherwise a good round (I SHOT 80) with great company. Can’t ask for more.
Tight fairways, quick greens
The course was in excellent shape for late November. Fairways were gorgeous! Very narrow course, not a whole lot of room for error. Had a couple tough holes. I’m a 3.9 hcp and carded an 85. A lot of that was knowing where to miss and I missed a lot lol.
Always Enjoy
This is a tough course that I always enjoy playing. One thing that stood out to me was how super clean the course restrooms were. I point this out, because at most golf courses the restrooms are an afterthought. Great job Bear Creek.
Sunday late tee time
Everything was great except it would have been nice to have seen a marshal on the course every now and then. Our group of 4 played at a good clip to try and get as many rounds as possible before dark. We had no golfers behind having to wait. However, there was a group that was behind us that jumped ahead to the hole in front of us. This caused us to delay our play by having to wait for them! Not good when trying to hurry our play to beat darkness. A marshal would have helped in this situation.
