Bear Creek Golf Club - East Course
About
Bear Creek Golf Club's East Course is considered a tad more difficult than the West, with tighter fairways and smaller greens. Fourteen of 18 holes dogleg, so its label as a target course is accurate. Elevation changes make club selection a challenge, and the par 5s are tough to reach in two. No. 5 stands out on the front: a 385-yarder that doglegs left and involves an approach over water. No. 8 is longer (418 yards) and features water in the fairway landing area and along the right side. On the back, no. 15 is the signature, playing 432 yards and tricky because of the blind approach shot.

Poor fairways and over priced
$70 to play this course and the fairway is very hard, lots of areas where it’s just dirt. All sand traps were being redone so no playing out of them and the greens are being worked on as well. I just think for the price it should be in better shape. Drop the price while you are getting this work done.
Great Course
It was my first time playing this course and I will definitely be back. The fairways and greens were in good shape and the course was challenging without being discouraging. They are renovating most of the bunkers, so you cannot play out of them at the moment. There were a few par 4s that are cart path only, which can be challenging when choosing clubs at the cart. The course marshal was very active in making sure the pace was good and even stopped by with cookies during one of this rounds.
Under construction
My foursome paid $65 each to play this course on an early afternoon tee time (11:30). My expectations based on that cost were much higher than what we experienced. While teeing off on the first hole construction crews were busy placing piles of sand into the bunkers with machinery sitting in the fairways. The tee boxes were dead and lacked grass to hit from. The greens for the most part were in good shape until you arrive at 18 which has a crack running the length of it.
Golf now
Golf now keep asking me to write a review and I dont like writing reviews. Golf now ..pllease stoo
Cold Day
Always Good to Play
Been playing Bear Creek since the 80s. Enjoy the West Course over the East, but both courses are good to play.
Birdies
Layout is tough with many challenges
Major improvements on the way
Clearing the brush, redesigning course and approval to fix bunkers. Great course and glad they are planning to invigorate the course
The cleanup
The clean up of the course is looking great. The are making major changes to improve the course. Can’t wait until the bunkers are fixed. East course is clay while west better. Enjoy the the course and the patrons are great
