Bear Creek Golf Club - East Course
About
Bear Creek Golf Club's East Course is considered a tad more difficult than the West, with tighter fairways and smaller greens. Fourteen of 18 holes dogleg, so its label as a target course is accurate. Elevation changes make club selection a challenge, and the par 5s are tough to reach in two. No. 5 stands out on the front: a 385-yarder that doglegs left and involves an approach over water. No. 8 is longer (418 yards) and features water in the fairway landing area and along the right side. On the back, no. 15 is the signature, playing 432 yards and tricky because of the blind approach shot.

A few poor greens
East side had some greens that need a lot of help
Especially number 3 and 6 and one or two on thr back side
Overall course is in fair shape
Greens are in bad shape . It needs major attention
It was a disappointing day as we discovered the greens were not in good shape. The person in the pro shape did not mentioned that the 3rd hole par3 has a temporary green which was not playable. I would not return playing this course until I hear better review from other players. There are better courses in the area with same price range that are in much better shape.
Poor greens
The greens on the east course were terrible. The majority of them need serious attention. It was playing through ground under repair. The rest of the course was in good shape. People were great. Service at the bar/restaurant was very nice.
Greens need attention!
Great course, but some greens need to be repaired.
Beautiful and challenging course
Very well maintained, layout is fun and challenging.
Good outing
Course conditions are descent. Some of the greens need serious work. Sod was put down and allowed to die. Staff was very friendly. We only saw the beverage cart once.
Greens are Heinous
The layout and fairways are nice but the greens are absolutely heinous. Massive sand patches in the middle of greens are overall terrible condition.
East course greens are terrible!
Not sure what’s happened, but the greens on East are in terrible shape. The first 9 holes or so were near impossible to putt on. Burnt grass, patches of dirt and sand only, no maintenance by players or groundskeeping crew to fix ball marks on the few greens you could see them on… it was very disappointing to see and made playing a lot less enjoyable. The fact that we were neither warned nor offered a discounted rate because of the conditions is unacceptable. We could’ve played the west course for $6 each and possibly had better conditions.
Terrible greens
Not sure how they can charge $90 for this course. There were at least five greens that were unplayable. Pace of play was awful too.
Greens need some serious love. Worst I’ve seen them in 2 years
Greens in bad shape
A lot of the greens were in pretty bad shape so putting was an extreme challenge
Greens are not in good condition
Greens are in very bad shape on the East side. West course is better
Great course
Great course and condition. Only negative is that some type of scramble going on and the pace of play was brutal. Great value for the money!
