Bear Creek Golf Club - East Course
About
Bear Creek Golf Club's East Course is considered a tad more difficult than the West, with tighter fairways and smaller greens. Fourteen of 18 holes dogleg, so its label as a target course is accurate. Elevation changes make club selection a challenge, and the par 5s are tough to reach in two. No. 5 stands out on the front: a 385-yarder that doglegs left and involves an approach over water. No. 8 is longer (418 yards) and features water in the fairway landing area and along the right side. On the back, no. 15 is the signature, playing 432 yards and tricky because of the blind approach shot.

Great Course, But...
Bear Creek West in great shape, as usual! But, disappointing they don’t/won’t honor Veterans with any discounts on weekend rates(even on Veteran’s Day :( )...
Slow Player
Sunday, West courses,
l don't know who is that group of around 12:20 to 12:45. 4 some player.. way slow. No marshall.
Display said "39 min slow" 4 guy never look back.
Finaly we move to East courses after front 9 holes.
Track is OK. Very loud due to proximity to airport
Course was in decent condition. Fairways and greens were bone dry. The experience was severely hampered by the proximity to the airport. There are planes landing every 10 minutes or less, so lots of noise and the air quality is questionable, too. Price was OK ($30 On Golfnow)
Good time
We had a good time today. The course was in good shape.
Open, easy to play
This course was relatively easy to play. There were a few tricky holes but overall a great course for beginner/intermediate players. Pace of play was rather slow.
An interesting track that is decent as public courses go.
For this being the end of a hot Summer, they have done a decent job maintaining the greens, fringe, and rough.. The tee boxes, fairways, and especially the bunkers need help. Trying to figure out why the grass was dry but the bunkers were wet, which made a good number of them unplayable and inconsistent. Lots of unfilled divots in the fairways and just about every bunker needed to be raked due to inconsiderate players.
First Time Review_MLB
Nice golf course with lots of trees and challenging fairways ( East course ). First time playing at this golf course. Some of the concrete cart paths have dangerous crumbling concrete, but overall in good shape. Noticed trash in woods along fairways, which suggests some of the clientele are not being respectful. Saw turtles, water moccasin, squirrels. Ball washers came in handy but they need to change out the liquid more often. Grass in good shape but under attack in some spots from Armadillos. Will play here again. MLB
A little disappointed
Played the east course at 8am, not very busy on a Thursday.
The greens were punched a couple of weeks ago, almost fully recovered, but still a little bumpy.
The tee boxes and fairways were good, but not great. Every other course I have played lately is in exceptional shape due to the rain we have had this summer, but not this course.
The bunkers are horrific and not even playable...they haven't been touched in months and are just dirt.
Good not great
Coming off of punched greens the course wasn’t too bad. Fairways in decent/good condition and the green food for what I mentioned above. The practice range is the worst I have seen around the metroplex. Like playing in a sandbox. Other than that placebo of play was great. 18 on the east side just over 3 hours with 3 people! Would go back!
Good course
Fun course. The only problem is the first three holes has too many people looking for lost balls.
Bear Creek (DFW) - A Special Place
From the moment you enter the grounds, you can tell that you are in a truly special place. The staff is attentive and makes you feel welcome. We played the West Course and enjoyed all 18 holes. The course was in excellent shape and the greens were near perfect. We played in just over 3 and 1/2 hours without rushing. The layout is challenging, but at the same time you have chances to score. I would highly recommend playing at Bear Creek as it is a real golfing value.
Greens
The greens were recently aerated and they made you pay full price. Could not put straight to save your life. Aside from that the course is great. Tee boxes were concrete and the fairways we hacked up a little bit I play there all the time. It’s a great course for the most part.
Bear Creek just keeps getting worse
2nd time I’ve showed up for a scheduled tee time only to have the course double booking tee times. 6:24am tee time with 5 guys standing there with the same tee time and NO started to figure anything out. 5 other foursomes waiting with tee times every 3 minutes. I will never step foot on the Bear Creek course again! Ridiculous!
