Limestone Springs Golf Club

I live an hour away from Limestone Springs and somehow had never played it until recently. Normally I don’t like courses the first time I play them, especially when I play poorly, but I have to say I was impressed. The course is laid out very well and while the greens have some patches in them they rolled great. The course sets up very manageable and is very scorable. I would definitely recommend it especially when you can get it on the hot deal.

The greens at Limestone Springs were terrible. That is very sad considering they used to be exceptional

I don't know what course the other people have been playing, but this is definitely not a 4+ star course. The weeds in the fairway I can accept, but the greens are in terrible condition as are the bunkers. This course has a lot of potential, but is in need of some significant maintenance. The golf carts are top notch with built in GPS, but they don't have enough of them and are pushing people to ride two to a cart even with COVID.

The final straw was pace of play. We were stacked up with 4 groups on a par 3 by the time we got to the back nine. I thought that was bad until we got to the next Par 5 and there were 6 groups on the same hole! No Marshall whatsoever.

I love the layout of Limestone Springs it is beautiful. However for some reason they cannot keep the greens in good shape. The last time I played here was about 5 yrs ago and the greens were awful, I had heard they were in better shape now. They are not! Half of the greens are mud and have small weeds growing on them. I took a customer out with us and was embarrassed, I have learned my lesson and will not return to Limestone springs - Its a shame they cannot invest to make this course a gem of Alabama.

Played this course in May. Overall was a great time and good value. Wow, but now. Greens are really in trouble. Crabgrass appears to be taking over. Huge bare spots everywhere and a lot of dead grass. Remarkable change in three months. Work is still on going at course but looks as if greens are low priority. Really a shame since this is still one of the better layouts available. Hopefully this is a temporary problem but if something doesn’t happen soon it could be too far gone.

THIS COURSE IS IN A BEAUITFUL LOCATION IN AL. LAKE SPINGS MOUNTAINS. FAIRWAYS AND CART PATHS MAKES YOU FILL CLOSE TO NATURE. THE PUTTING GREENS ON ABOUT SIX HOLE NEED RESEEDED. BARE SPOTS WEEDS CABBAGE PATCHES ON GREENS. THIS COURSE WAS DESIGNED BY THE GREAT JERRY PATE. HE WOULD BE VERY UPSET WITH THESE GEENS. I GIVE THIS COURSE SEVEN OUT OF 10.

The new owners are doing a great job bringing the course back. It is a beautiful layout!

Don’t miss a chance to play Limestone Springs! The staff in the Pro shop and Grill are super friendly and welcoming!

The carts are new and outstanding.

The course condition is absolutely beautiful! Tees, fairways, rough, and greens are all in great shape.

The scenic course winds through some neighborhoods but is predominantly a completely natural setting. Some of the course vistas are expansive and gorgeous !

Greens are showing some heat stress but are smooth and hold shots. Fairways and tee boxes are nice

With a little more course love this is still one of the most beautiful lay outs really enjoyable

Due to the heat the greens were starting to show some effects of needing more water. Still very playable but not as good as last month.

Limestone Springs is a scenic golf course. Each hole has its own challenges. I enjoy standing on the tee for a moment to take in the beauty. Our group enjoyed the experience and are excited about returning.

Staff friendly and they have a driving range and putting green. Golf carts are nice and equipped with GPS. We will be back soon.

They are doing lots of work around the course getting it back into great shape...The Wife and I had a great time and the course played very well...Highly recommended playing it....
