17th hole par 5 Photo submitted by glovesb on 03/09/2015
Gorgeous greens.
Very nice course
This course is a gem it’s hidden in our own Bay Area backyard…
Great time golfing
Our group of 3 had a wonderful time playing 9 holes at Boulder Creek. The course is beautiful and provides a peaceful ambiance.
Wings and a beer at the bar were the perfect end to a great day!
Diamond in the rough course
Very nice course hidden in the redwoods. Only 9 holes were open (June 2025) but fun course! Very well maintained for the price. Would definitely go back
Hidden wonder
Hidden in the Santa Cruz redwoods is a wonderful course, Boulder Creek Golf and Country Club. The area is still recovering from some serious forest fires a few years ago, so they are now offering the best 9 hole course in the extended Bay Area.
Gorgeous
Absolutely beautiful..green green green! Love the trees
True hidden gem!
Love playing in the trees. Greens were in great shape given all the rain! Fairways and green surrounds were definitely soggy from all the rain, but I'm sure that will improve when they can actually cut it. Will be back!
Great course for any occasion or golfer.
I have been frequenting BCCC for about 6 months now. While it is your standard small town CC experience - it's the top tier of that category.
Does it have a big driving range and short game practice area? No. Does it have a beverage cart that circles the course? No. What it does have is the most laid back natural beauty you can get in the Santa Cruz mountains, fresh air, friendly staff and patrons, and a well kept, challenging yet fun course. And just wait till you see the price, for 9 or 18 holes you can't beat the prices and the course still isn't oversaturated like the local muni.
This is the perfect course for leaving the big stick at home to focus on your accuracy and dispersion with the rest of the top end of your bag and very interesting green layouts to keep your short game sharp.
Will continue to play BCCC and bring friends and family for years.
Pretty location, rough shape
Staff was nice, greens were good. Fairways were pretty bad with poor grass coverage. There was a guy ahead of us with a dog not on a leash, which frequently got a few hundred yards ahead or behind him and bothered other groups.
An interesting experience but not one I’ll seek to repeat!
