Crystal Springs Golf Course

Hilly course, narrow too with thick rough that "eats" up your wayward shots!

However, the pace is real slow, I started at 230pm and could not finish 18 by sunset.

THE COURSE LOOKS REALLY NICE. I HAD TO CANCEL MY TEE TIME. BUT HOPEFULLY ILL SEE A REFUND. ID STILL LIKE TO PLAY THERE IN THE FUTURE

I played on a Friday afternoon. Course condition improved quite a bit from a year ago. The greenskeepers are doing a fine job. Pro shop staff is quite friendly and efficient. Marshall and starters are friendly. There is a beverage cart going around a few times and that's a good sign of a nice course. Greens in much better shape from when I played over a year ago as I see a a lot less ball marks. Keep up the good practices y'all players. I'll be back to play the course again soon.

Slow play, Bunkers and more than 2 tee boxes under repair. Staff was doing shots at the turn and being loud, No discount due to renovation and that they wont tell you when you make a reservation. Some of the Temporary tee boxes where on the fairway on downhill sidehill lies. It's like they didn't care! I walked off after 14 holes.

Normally the course is in decent shape - however half of the course is closed to re-do tee boxes, half the tees are on temporary tee boxes, certain greens were sanded, traps closed and maintenance everywhere so you can only play half the course…which would be fine if they didn’t make you pay FULL PRICE with no notice that they’re doing all of this and the pro shop told me they couldn’t do anything after the round.

5 tee boxes were under repair so they stuck the tees in the middle of the fairway. A few times, this meant you were teeing off on a severe slope. This included the signature 6th hole and the driveable 15th.

The greens were also in poor shape. We were the 11:26 tee time but the number of divots that players had not fixed tells me they must not have cleaned the greens before the day.

Finally, several bunkers were under repair and the ones that weren’t either had too much sand or sand like concrete.

For the cost, I was surprised we were not told ahead of time when booking or checking in, and was surprised there was no discounted rate.

First time playing Crystal Springs Golf Course while visiting from New Jersey. Challenging course with great mountain range views. Only issue was a few of the bunkers were being repaired. Overall great value. Will definitely play again on my next visit to the Bay Area.

Until Management finds a way to speed up pace of play, I sadly cannot recommend Crystal Springs, which is and has been my home course for over 20yrs.

One of my top 5 Public courses to play . In the Bay Area . Located in the hills of Burlingame . This course provides all the challenge you can ask for . . With lots of scenic views throughout the course . The fairways are on the tighter side and the greens ran pretty true. most golfers repaired their ball marks . For smoother putting .like many courses ,the bunkers need some work . Paid $52 with cart .on golf now hot deal . On sat 1:40p m .inky got to play 16 holes tho. Staff was friendly and helpful . Definitely a gem in the Bay Area !
