Course is in real good shape greens need some work some bad spots on the greens

These course were simply a Great value, but have since been closed!

I have played this course many times over the years. The course is in a beautiful setting, the layout is friendly, relatively straight forward but with challenges sprinkled throughout the round from some narrow fairways, to strategically placed traps, to long holes that require good long club striking. While not country club conditions, the course has been consistently well maintained. It is beautiful to play here and it is a shame that the course is closing at the end of the year.

We're from LA and we always play Rancho Canada/ East Course. It's our home away home course. We love to play here. Unfortunately the course will close at the end of December 2016. We are very sadden by the owners decision to close a wonderful golf course! Would they reconsider if enough people write reviews like this?

A beautiful property and know when really taken care of it must have really been pretty. This course is closing in Dec of this year; the side we played will turn into a park and the other 18 a housing development. So it is understandable that they aren't putting any money into the course...what a shame.

Sorry to say this course will close in January. Play it while you can. It has lovely views and an interesting layout.

Despite the near future closing of this course it is in very good condition. The greens were smooth and the fairways green.

This course plays harder than the yardage would indicate. There are several approach shot and tee shots going into or coming out of narrow shoots of trees.

I'll miss this course when it's gone. It is a good test of golf.

Wonderful course with good conditions and upkeep. A little confusing of where the greens are when teeing off, but a good challenge course overall. Not a difficult course, but a nice one for even beginners to intermediate players. The scenery is fantastic and a perfect day to play golf.

Pace of play was super, but it was a Monday.

I would definitely play here again.

BEAUTIFUL SETTING, NICE AND QUIET!

it was great getting out on the west course for one more time. the course is in excellent condition and i'm sad i will never be able to play it again. as a mini member i will miss it, over the years i enjoyed going back and forth between the east and west. they are two totally different courses, a real nice contrast.

Lots of positives here. Nice scenic valley course and a bargain on golf now. Nice greens, no houses, beautiful day. My partner and I were zipping around the course on an 8:30 am Saturday tee time until 3 old timer locals jumped in on the back 9 in front of us. We played West. Fair holes except one rediculous par 4 on the back 9. Recommended with a deal.

From the time we first talked to the Pro Shop until we finished the day's round, we had nothing but praise for the people and the course. Fun course with some challenges (probably more so if the Carmel River were running at full steam). A little bit of a problem with other golfers getting lost and playing the wrong holes, but following the cart path seemed to work well for us. We liked the entrance sign which was located between the golf course and the local church!

no homes on course, good solitude, fun to hit across the river, play every week, good practice areas

This course is a great value for the area due to plush fairways and greens. The greens could be a bit more manicured and cropped closer but overall a good roll! The layout is challenging and demands accuracy off the tee on many of the holes while rewarding a good ball strike!

Played the west course for the first time.

The views are spectacular. There are some tight fairways and lots of trees.

The sand bunkers are inconsistent some fluffy, some rock hard.

Overall, a very playable course.

Loved the course was very challenging! The early morning price was great too!

Lots of fun. The cart paths need some work, and the tee boxes are a little worn. Overall it was a good time.
