Monterey Pines Golf Club

Golf Course was in great shape. Greens were fast, but fair

We booked for 2 golfers on GolfNow, easy peasy. But we were booked in between 2 tournaments! We never would have booked this and had no idea of these tournaments at time of booking. The pace was SO SLOW, at one point, there were 3 groups stacked up at one hole and that was after the single player behind us had already given up. Needless to say, we finely had had it and left after 12. The weather was no longer enough to keep us standing around. We mentioned it to the Marshall at one point on the course, but he just said, "ya, we have tournaments today and we are a small property, just enjoy the weather". Lots of options in the area, pay for the better spots, you'll enjoy it much more.

It would've been nice if they let us know the greens have been punched

Had a great birthday round with family. We always have a good time playing here.

This course could be so much better if only so many, many golfers would drop some repair mix on their tee and fairway divots and fix their ball marks on the greens. I have never seen a course where so many divots and ball marks were left un-repaired. Sad really. Airplane flight path over course was more than slightly distracting, but it is what it is. Weather was great as was the staff.

Monterey Pines always comes through! We played 18 holes in 4 hours. Pace of play was great, with only waiting on 2-3 holes near the end. The conditions were perfect, with freshly mowed fairways and fast greens. We were paired with another twosome which made the day even more enjoyable. I highjy recommend Monterey Pines!

The only suggestion I have is, somehow figure out a way to have golfers fix their ball marks on the greens. Some get fixed, some get fixed incorrectly and some ball marks are untouched.

There should be gentle encouragement from the person checking you in. “ Hey guys, help us out with repairing ball marks”. Put small signs on the greens and tee blocks of the par 3’s.

Second time here, perfect weather. Had a 2pm tee time showed up almost an hour early as there was no traffic and was told we could go when ready. No one in front or behind. Until 18, single caught us. Greens were nice and broke true. Fairways and rough were very green and mowed. Carts now have gps as accurate as rangefinder.

We started out as a single but the pace was slow with the people in front of us. We ended up having the threesome behind us join us. They were nice fellows who played there regularly. They were able to help us with how the course played. Overall a great day!
