Golfer Reviews
First time, birthday round.
My good friend and I had an amazing time golfing at Monterey Pines for my 63rd birthday. This was my first time playing this course and had an absolute amazing day. The course layout pay a play condition. We’re all excellent thank you so much for a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.

The one thing all courses on this site desperately need.
Now it should be noted that I have played this course close to one hundred times since 2000. Long before the renovation that truly transformed this course from local cheap goat track. To the excellent, well maintained course it is today. However, like pretty much every course on this site . You receive absolutely now indication of the status of the greens. AERATED GREENS should always be noted. As well as any scheduled maintenance anywhere near the potential scheduled date. Especially if it’s to include greenside conditions. Surely such information would could effect bookings. But then again what is the effect of booking, travel to, and purchasing accommodations. Only to find out the greens have been freshly aerated. In conclusion, it should be noted that Monterey Pines(GC) is obviously, not alone or necessarily at fault for this lack transparency. But I’m confident these disclosures would be appreciated by all parties concerned.
Love this course
I’ve played this course a few times now. And it’s always my go to while visiting Monterey. The course is in great condition.
Divots
The Pines is a great place to play. Course layout is great and the conditions were good.
My only concern was that there were too many divots on the greens which is not the staff’s fault. If players would fixed their divots, greens would be better.
Had a great time playing on 4th of July. Thanks for lowering the price to play. 🏌🏽♂️🏌🏽♂️
Beautiful and fun golf course
First round since the redesign. Beautiful and fun course to play. Great bargain also in an area of expensive golf. Will be coming back to play as often as possible.
Monterey Pines
Friendly course but no pace management got stuck behind a four ball which took the biscuit. Clubs we rented were incredibly poor different lengths and shaft type with no face. Would only go if you’ve brought your own clubs and have all day to sit and take in the views
Great golf in Monterey!
This course was in really great shape! Good deal--and great golf!
First Time Playing Monterey Pines
I was initially reluctant to play here because total yardage is a little short. I was proven wrong, in that the course more than makes up for shorter yardage with challenging fairways, roughs and greens. The course was in immaculate shape, and the greens played true to my reads. Multiple tees allow any skilled golfer to be challenged.
