Monterey Pines Golf Club

I went golfing with my two kids (teens) who are different levels of golfing. Went prepared with a lot of balls, but only needed a few as the course is pretty straight forward and design is great because its very methodical.

Downside was there were three of us and we got a fourth golfer (known risk) but they weren't willing to go with our pace - we're never held up the course as we constantly waited for the group in front of us, but nonetheless he went off on his own so we had to share walking the course.

As usual Monterey Pines a a class act in terms of condition and pace of play. A real bargain!

We loved playing it. Just the right amount of difficulty.

Group in front of of us was easily 2 holes behind the entire round, and were completely oblivious. We asked them to please pick up the pace but they never did. There were a few holes where they waited until we pulled up to the tee box before they started hitting, even though there was no one in front of them. Not a single Marshall on the course to monitor pace of play.

Course was in good condition and pace of play was just right. Overall I would recommend this course to players of all levels.

30 min wait on par 3. Back to back par 3 bad course design.

They should have NEVER allowed tee times today as they had some kind of junior tournament! We only got to play 8 holes and when we asked for a replay for 9 holes they said ok but they needed a paper receipt! I showed them my Golf Now receipt but they would not accept it! Very poor business decision!

Caught a Sunny day in Monterey. The course is well maintained, good tee boxes and fast greens. Downside, there was 2 tournaments going on so nearly a 5 hour round. Still a great place to play at a reasonable price.
