About
Located just minutes from LAX, Rio Hondo Golf Club is conveniently accessible from the South Bay and Orange County. Golf Digest has ranked the course as one of southern California's "Places to Play." The 6,370-yard layout is narrow and challenging, placing a premium on accuracy off the tee. Many locals consider it to be the toughest golf course in the area. The course features tight, tree-lined fairways and subtly contoured greens that are faster than they look. It's not a particularly long layout but the par 3s provide some good length. Golfers will face a variety of challenges throughout, but there is also plenty of scenic respite. Sparkling lakes and cascading waterfalls are scattered across the landscape, coming into play on a few holes as well. In addition to the golf course, there is also a lighted, 30-station driving range at Rio Hondo G.C.

Slow, Very Very Slow
This is a good course that unfortunately requires 5 hours plus in order to play it. I don’t know why this course takes people so long to play it (there is mo wilderness to lose your ball in and minimal water /OB in play)… but it does. There is no visible, active Marshall encouraging slow groups to move along either :/
Love Rio stop slow play
If you cannot hit driver 100y and play from the back tees you should not play golf you ruin it for all of us go play arroyo seco golf course

Slow pace of play
It's been a while to play here again.
I haven't played here since last year because of terribly slow play pace here several times.
But I wanted to give it a try. But it is my mistake. I saw 2some occupied and played each hole of 4 holes ahead of us. Unbelievably 4 groups played each hole in 2some. Starter doesn't control tee time intervals and number of group.

Delayed tee time due to no cart!!
And staff no explained and even no excused!!!

Start time was late about 1 hour 15 min
Something is going on pro shop. I never experienced more than one hour late start time.
