Tijeras Creek is a great course, with challenging layout and greens !

The coarse was under seasonal maintenance, over-seeding, green aeration, driving range closed and cart path only. I'm 63 with having had two back surgeries and can't handle the extra walking. They said I checked a box agreeing to those conditions, but I read over the web page booking online and didn't see all of that. I wondered why the price was so reasonable. I've played there many times and know that was much less than normal. I was in question as to why. It became obvious when I arrived.

Had we known the course was being aerated and overseeded we would not have booked. It was completely unplayable yesterday and we quit after 9 holes.

All courses are wet and the condition of grasses are the worst I've ever seen in any golf courses. rip-off price of $119. DO NOT GO THERE!!

I’ve played this course on every October for the past several years during my annual vacation to SoCal. This round on Oct 18 is the worst condition I’ve ever seen. The fairways is an absolute disaster with mixture of wet grass and dirt and the greens were soggy, lumpy and filled with pot marks. Worst is the maintenance workers do not give way to golfers. We had a mowers going around in circles in front of us while we’re trying to hit the ball. Mind you that this is t a low budget muni. This course charged over $100 for this pathetic condition and service. And their “dynamic pricing” (which seems to be normal for lot of courses these days) is just an exercise to charge whatever they want. I’m sure the management will throw out another canned and hollow response saying they’ll try harder, but seems like lip service as they’ve been saying that to other complainers for a very long time. If you are planning to play this course anytime soon, you’ve been warned.

The greens need attention. They were bumpy, bare spots, unrepaired divots, and simply were not in very good shape. Great and fun course and hopefully they can get the greens under control.

Total mud bath when I played a few weeks ago. No club service. Staff not very friendly. No cart girl. For $160 it’s the worst value course in OC. Avoid unless you want to waste your money rolling around in the mud.

Haven’t played here in a few years but recalled decent value based on course layout, rates, etc. Disappointed this time around to say the least. Course layout is still great but course conditions far from desired based on a Troon managed course. Greens inconsistent, fairways with a lot of hard pan… definitely not worth the current rates. Hopefully conditions will return with a little more time and tlc.

This was my first time playing the course, and I likely won't be back unless I hear of a significant improvement in the course condition. It's too bad, because the layout and scenery are really spectacular. But the fairways and tees are very spotty, and sometimes rather bare of grass. The greens and surrounding areas were so wet at times that my ball would plug (once actually into the green), and I was constantly cleaning mud off my ball. I'm hoping the management and maintenance folks get their act together and dramatically improve the condition. I'd love to play there again if I hear of a turnaround.

I’ve been playing Tijeras Creek for years. Out of all the courses Tijeras was one that you could count on to always be in phenomenal shape. But not this time. The tee boxes were spotty with dead or diseased grass. The fairways were patchy and with numerous areas of soggy mud and overgrown grass. The greens were spotty with disease and looked like war zones. On top of that, the price to play was over $150 depending what time you played. The cost of golf in OC isn’t unique to Tijeras. All of the courses are over priced. They’re good, but not that good.

You know you're in trouble after you pay your $130 and the starter begins to tell you about all of the closed Fairways. I used to play this course many years ago when it was in good condition. Not sure what has happened, greens were horrible, t boxes all but two were a mess. Can't even talk about what they are calling Fairways. Great course if they charge $65. Since you want to charge triple digits I'll inform everyone I know your course is trash.

Usually a great track but the conditions recently are horrid. What’s even worse is that they are keeping the same green fees.

I've play this course a few times a year and this was the worst shape I've ever seen it. The fairways were thin, mostly dirt & mud and patches of grass. Our golf cart actually got stuck in the middle of the fairway due to the mud. The greens were okay with some spots of crapgrass. The amount of ball marks on the greens were sad. PLEASE REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS ON THE GREEN NOT MATTER WHERE YOU PLAY.

The staff was friendly and the carts were nice with newer technology screens. Beverage cart staff were very nice and professional. We were told the course gets this way in the summer so hopefully it will improve. I would recommend rotating cart path only on the holes in need of the most repair every week. I would not play here again until the fairways improve or they lower the price to compensate for the poor conditions.

The fairway condition is a bit disappointing and the green condition is disappointing. And there is a regret that I wish I had been more kind..Pro Shop

For the price you would expect the course to be maintained. Apparently not. The greens were in very bad shape. Basically unplayable. Nobody repairs their own divots and the maintenance staff surely does not. Unimpressed and I will gladly spend my money elsewhere.
