Whittier Narrows Golf Course - Pine/Mountain

I will give 4 stars with the addition of drinkable water + disposable cups on this course.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was crowded. Since we were beginners we had to let a lot of golfers pass. It was a bit frustrating with so many others behind us.

Was charged more at course , the staff said that you only paid for 9 holes where I booked it for 18. They did not display online that this was a 9 hole course. Paid the booking fees for nothing. Had too pay the regular rate of $38.50 per player instead $21.97 per player. If I can get the booking fees refunded would be nice

This golf course is a pretty long yardage course than others in California.
And have a very fast green and wide fairways.
I've enjoyed a lot.

Pretty good length but not much variety in holes, all fairly straight with no water or hills. Overall a good open course

Be careful when making a reservation at golf now for this course. Although the list of available golf times shows a price stating that it includes a cart, when the final printout comes out, it states that the price is for walking, not riding.

I reserved tee time for play but when i went to this golf club to starter to confirm my reservation, not 18 holes ,,, 9holes i reserved.. What the heck was ??? I disappointed too much!!!

I'm a visitor to SoCal and picked this course based on the reviews from golf now and the cost.

First off I had to argue with the attendant about what was included in the round. Once that was settled, I was advised they were running behind. This muni course was sending out 5 somes and it was incredibly slow. Of course I should of known as one lady was giving swing instructions to another woman.

The round was tortuous and I will never play there again. The fairways were thin and the course really lack any character. The greens were in good condition and rolled nice.

The course was as dry as I have ever seen it. The pace of play was so slow that I quit after 9 holes.

we started at approx. 1100AM. we did not finish 18 holes until after 4:30PM. It has a lot of room for improvement in the pace of play.

The course was in decent shape however the tee boxes need help, the greens were still healing and bumpy. the pace was very slow. Started at 1130 and finished at 5pm..

Simple challenging course. Wide fairways. Good for the price.

There was no notice of aeration of greens on the web and on the starter, too bad.

This is a good course for beginners like myself. Easy to book, non crowded, friendly staff

We had a very good time despite the 100 degree temperature. We had a foursome consisting of 2 rank beginners and it was really the perfect time for this. There was not much traffic on the course so we were not hurried by groups behind and we had nobody in front of us. We played at our best pace and the round was enjoyed ny everyone. The staff was very friendly. The course is a little dry in spots, but it was a great deal we got, so we can't complain at all. I used to play here 25+ years ago and the greens are in much better shape now than they were then! We'll be back.

we were a little bit late and staff wasvery understanding about it they moved our tee time with no questions asked anything to help us out. play was great at this course

The greens and fairways were in great condition (except one fairway). The blue tee boxes are uneven and terrible. The white and forward tee boxes are a lot better and flat. The ruff is horrible. It's not very good grass to hit out of. The bunkers were over watered, too. All in all, i don't recommend this course.

Brown spots & uneven grass everywhere on rough and even on fairwa and NOT maintained well. No supervisions & no marshals seen anywhere as players in carts were jumping everywhere from holes to holes. Hole 8 on Pine there were trash everywhere by workers' shed and on rough with foul smells and flies buzzing in cloud. Not worth the money & trip.
