About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Items Stolen from Golf Bag
An item that I had hanging off my golf bag was stolen when I left it unattended for like than five minutes to use the restroom. There is no staff anywhere outside, not even at the cart return.
Average
Long round, pace of play was super slow. They don’t accept cash. Greens were not great and staff could have been more helpful and friendly.
Under construction
I wish they gave a heads up, tee markers are all moved up, they got lots of construction going on while playing. Not a very enjoyable round. At least offer discount rate
Uniquely Challenging Course
Alhambra Golf Course is one L.A.,s Best places to play. And the backdrop of the snow capped San Gabriel mountains are beautiful and breathtaking.
Play smart
Greens rolling nice, think of your next shot and you’ll be good
Not In Good Shape At Present
Due to the heat wave of recent, the course is in realatively poor condition mostly due to overwatering to keep the course from burning up. Fairways are wet and some have ruts from carts going through wet areas. Areas is front of greens and greens themselves are over watered. + lot so divots, unrepaired divots and divot scars on the greens. Not to mention the greens put horribly slow. Not worth the green fees IMO at the moment. Hopefully things improve as cooller weather sets in.
Great Course
Great course, fairly challenging, good pace of play, I will definitely be playing here again. Recommended by me to play here
Nice track.
Nice track. Great obstacles(lots of trees). Pretty well kept except the greens have tons of divots and hole 9.(lots of geese feathers and droppings). The main problem I had was pace of play. Finished in 5 hours and the marshal was out on the course the whole time. I guess it was good to him. Fair pricing I guess.
Divots are horrendous
Every hole is battered with holes in or not prepared some fresh probably round before we played.
The group behind us hit up on us three times! twice hitting our carts. When we confronted them, they said the Marshall told them to just hit and hurry up.
Nice course; has its challenges
This is our third time playing this course. I like the layout and the course is kept in good condition. Several of the holes present challenging approaches and a few hills. The pace of play was the worst I had experienced compared to the two times before - not sure why. I recommend this course.
