The Club at River Wilderness

From the Pro Shop, Straight through to the after round drinks our foursome had a great day.

The staff is friendly and helpful, everyone greeted us with a smile and hello, the restaurant staff was exceptional! the manager was fantastic which trickled over to her staff as you could tell by how positive, helpful and attentive the staff was, our waitress interacted with us and joked with us. GREAT JOB BY YOU BOTH!

The golf course has several tee options, the layout is great, bunkers are the most consistent I've played in this area (sand was soft and every trap was the same, many many traps) fairways and rough are good. Greens are decent, we played late morning and they had a bit of growth making them slow.

The only thing that could be improved was the lack of golf etiquette (knowledge) of the grounds crew, we would be hitting and rather then stopping for the minute they would just carry on driving by or running there machines within 10-20 yards of us.

Course in good shape, staff nice. Pace of play great.

we've played this course several times over the past few years. Not in the best shape, our 1st game since arriving in Florida so can't yet compare to other courses.

not sure I recommend but depends what we see at other courses

Course is not in good condition. Fairways have barely any grass. Greens had a lot of sand and in below average condition. Did see plenty of alligators. Snack area wasn’t open so no food or drinks.

Staff friendly and helpful, nice lounge/restaurant and great staff. Pace of play was great. Will be back.

Played here a couple of times over the last few weeks and the course is improving. The greens were hollow tined a few weeks ago and are gradually getting better and smoother. The bunkers are having new sand in them and the overall condition is getting better each week. Staff are very friendly. There are free range balls when you arrive. We played on a Sunday behind a mixed Texas scramble so the front 9 was fairly slow but the whole round took us less than 3 1/2 hours. We will play there again and it's good value for the "Hot 🔥" tee time.

This was a great day for golfing. My wife and I played in 3 hours with few people on the course. Just the right level of challenge for mid-70 year old golfers.

Friendly staff when you arrive and check in. Course could be in better shape. Greens are small and protected by frontside bunkers. The new carts made play enjoyable. Overall good value for a quick round or to work on skills.

Course has a very nice layout but it truly needs much work. As previous people have said, it makes no sense to loose balls because of the manner the rough is neglected. Bunkers need much attention as do the greens where golfers repeatedly putt over burnt greens.

The staff is truly very friendly and welcoming but sadly, we’re not going back anytime soon. We shall wait for reviews indicating that management will have addressed the above issues that have been repeatedly mentioned.

Price was great compared to every other course around. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. My dad needed to rent club which they offered complimentary and were apologetic about the clubs which were better than good especially for free! Course layout was fun with some blind shots. Course conditions could be better but absolutely no complaints with what we paid. Will be back!

nice course, tee boxes were very good, fairways nice, some blind shots, bunkers need machine raked, rough was easy to hit from, the wind can make the course play longer. club house and starter helped out getting me paired up with other players. need another week for aeration marks to heal on greens.

The overall condition of the course has greatly improved in the past year

I am a big fan of this golf course and can't wait to play it again! We walked into the club house and the staff was very friendly. Warning the golf carts can not go to your car they will shut down. We learned that the hard way. They had two amenities that I have never had at a course. Free driving range and also the carts had GPS. The course was very nice. Some of the greens are aerated but still in solid condition. If you are looking for a course you can bring your driver out for this is the course for that.
