A Good Value
The course is in excellent condition during the current drought. A few small green sections are sanded to protect against drought conditions but overall the greens are in very good shape and those small areas did not come into play.. The pitching and chipping areas around the greens and fringes are excellent. The pace of play is slower than I would prefer at 4 hours and ten minutes per foursome. Waiting to hit is invevitable at that pace with a full golf course. The greens ran true but were rather slower than other local courses. One of the best values around. I can recommend this course.
Awesomeness
One of the most enjoyable courses we have played when in Anna Maria Island area. Pace of play was great and course was in terrific condition. Bag attendant and cart personal were friendly and courteous. Overall, all 4 of us were thrilled with all aspects of this golf course. Thank you!
Good value
Good day out. Course is fun, challenging enough for the average weekender. Greens are long, too slow for me, but will hold an approach shot.
Overall, fun, good value.
Great layout, in good shape
Great layout and in overall good condition for the fairways and greens. Some tee boxes were in tough shape though. Always enjoy the course as it is a challenging layout with a lot of water. Would play again!
Great value
Enjoyed the course very much. Very good shape and staff was great
Wooder
The Philly pronunciation of “water” and it's in play on just about every hole. Pay close attention to the cart gps and distances to hazards or else it will be a long and frustrating day. I liked the green complexes but the greens were slow. Great course and will definitely play again.
First round of year
The gentleman in pro shop very polite. Paired up with two nice guys, who already were on the first fairway went off early.
Typical first round but thankful to be playing.
Worth the price
Great conditions for the price. I was paired with 2 older gentlemen and played in just over 3 hours. It was a rainy morning and windy afternoon so maybe that’s why there was no one out there, but pace of play was great. Besides a lot of pitch marks on the green, speed wasn’t bad. Funky layout but nonetheless, great value.
Nice Course
Generally, this course is in nice shape and a lot of fun to play. It’s been a little rough the last two times. Shaggy fairways and slow greens. Still a good value for the money.
Course Improvement
The course is in pretty good shape considering it’s winter and is receiving a lot of play. Improvements provided by new owners are evident. However, due to lazy players, there are many unfilled divots and unrepaired ball marks on the greens. I’ll never understand why everyone wants to play a nice course, but are too lazy to keep it that way.
