Course was in good shape. Greens were fast . Good time with friends.
Nicest course in BR
Baton Rouge’s finest golf course. On the more difficult side, but a lovely course. If you can shoot under 90 other places, you’ll enjoy it.
Lots of water and big, beautiful homes
The.media states that this is one of the best munis in the country and I agree - no hyperbole in that. Very nice track - relatively flat and wide fairways - bunkers and water provide the challenge - large greens run true so lone it up and go for the cup. The course was in good condition on this day. The surrounding houses are an attractive "distraction" - and there is a train track running alongside the course - kinda' cool to be hitting an approach shot and have a train going by behind it - then you drive through a tunnel under the tracks to get to the next tee. The staff are attentive and friendly. I'll be back.
Course is in great shape. Weather was good and since we’ve been going through a dry spell in the weather, course played nice. Pace of play was great (a little over 3 hours) due to not being crowded on a Thursday afternoon.
Pro shop folks and concession stand workers were friendly and helpful.
Also like the new range tees.
Over all
The course was nice and beautiful neighborhood as well, the price quite expensive but I got hot deal from golf now. Over all was excellent.
OMG what is up with slow play
Numerous 4 somes on hottest day of the year causing 4 hours for round of golf. Horrible pace of play, Also with all the rain the fairways were sloppy so cart path only is painful on this course. Greens had been aerated and were slow.

Not too many courses in the Baton Rouge area can compare.

Santa Maria is in Excellent Shape!
Santa Maria golf course is in the best shape I have seen it in since moving to Baton Rouge twenty five years ago. From the tee boxes to the sand traps to the greens I would rate each in excellent condition. The layout is challenging yet fair. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.
The course was in good shape
I liked the condition of the course overall. The cart paths definitely need some work and golfers definitely need to repair ball marks but overall a nice course for the money!
Great Day for Golf
Took a chance booking a tee time of 12:30 but the weather was great!
I had three in my group and we were joined by another golfer.
The course was in excellent condition and the greens were also.
Scores were: Jay 72, Richard(me) 81, Tommy 82, and Danny 94. We all had a great round!!!
Nice course to play
The bunkers were white and fluffy as the should be. The greens needed a little attention but it has been very dry here lately. The staff is very friendly and I enjoyed a great round of golf and that is what it is all about!

Course was in excellent condition. Greens were rolling fast, and the pace of play was excellent. Best public course in the area.
