Santa Maria Golf Club

The greens are still recovering from winter dormancy but we're still very puttable. The only downer is the sand in several bunkers is only about a half inch on top of clay.....almost impossible to get out of. Other than that the fairways are in good shape, wide with just a few tree obstructions and are laid out well. All in all a good experience which would bring me back again.

Course is in good shape. Yardage markers are few and far between so bring your range finder. Nice layout and course design. Would definitely play again. Excellent value.

Walked the first nine and road the second nine. Played as a single since the two some and three some preferred playing together. Nice fast greens. Tee's good for a public course. Most fairways were great. Played Friday when many LSU students are playing.

What a gem - a Robert Trent Jones municipal! The staff here was killer! The course is somewhat challenging and fun to play. I played while visiting family and beating the winter blues and am looking forward to playing it again soon!

Course is having a hard time recovering from the flood. Ton of people out on a beautiful spring saturday. Pace was slow to average. But the course is not a 60$ green fee course given the shape it is in right now.

Good Value for the Money, Great Course Layout. Lots of local knowledge in players, which is useful. The pace of play was good in the morning...when we finished, it looked to be backed up. Some bare lies, but the GREENS ROLLED TRUIE!

Playing this course is always fun. With the beautiful houses and long the well kept fairways and the ponds and lakes worked into some holes makes you forget you are so close to an interstate in a big city. I've played this course a couple times and won't pass up an opportunity to play it again.

The course has been extremely dry. So when we got a quarter inch of rain yesterday, they decided it should be cartpath only today. The tires left ZERO marks on the grass and at worst it should have been the 90 degree rule. Instead, the old guys/marshalls have nothing better to do than drive around fussing at people to stay on the path. Santa Maria will not be getting my business for awhile, as cart path golf is worse than just walking the course.

First time playing here and it was fantastic. Staff were helpful and friendly and course was in great shape. Only drawback is that pace could get slow due to tee times every ten minutes but I got lucky today. Overall one of the better days of golf I've had in Baton Rouge.

The greens were really great, and the course had a great layout. It was much better than expected.

I had a very enjoyable day at the golf course. I was paired with a very pleasant young man, and we had a good round. The course was in good shape and I would recommend it.

Only one hole seemed to still be effected from the recent flood otherwise the course, as always was in great shape, friendly and professional staff always willing to assist.
