About
Cypress Lakes Country Club is the centerpiece of the Ormond community, a neighborhood of more than 500 homes. Blending seamlessly into the surrounding cypress trees, the golf course is both challenging and scenic. You'll have to navigate your way around 17 different ponds that come into play throughout the course. With several forced carries over wetlands, it will feel like there is water at every turn. There are also 40 strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens and fairways. It's a layout that will test your accuracy and ability to strategize. Multiple sets of tees keep scratch golfers happy while beginners can also approach the course with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Lakes has a practice facility featuring a 400-yard driving range with multiple targets and putting and chipping greens.

Caution Drinkers…
We played last Sunday morning. They do not sell alcohol until 10:00. The bar doesn’t open until 10. The drink girl didn’t come out until 10:30. They do not sell any beers in the club house. Can’t drink all day if you don’t start early ;)
Coming along nicely
Played after a hurricane, so softer greens were nicer to play on. I still don't get much checkup or spin on these greens, but its getting better.
Fairways were nice and freshly cut. Roughs were cut down mostly except spots where water was holding.
I never did like this course layout. Hidden water hazards all over, terrible tee box locations on 3 or 4 holes. Basically hitting over 3 canals with no sign of fairways.
However, with that being said, the price is right for the course conditions and I recommend cypress lakes.
I will continue to play here.

Challenging course with a lot of water on every hole. Always in great shape lately and greens are excellent and challenging (fast). Highly recommend.

The greens are really nice. I've always loved the layout. The course is very challenging. Great vakue. I love playing here once a month.
Best shape this course has ever been in
I grew up on cypress lakes and lived out there in the 90s and early 00s . I’ve known Ormond, now cypress lakes, for 30 years. This course has come along way. They have invested in the course and I can say this is the best shape it has ever been in. Highly recommend.
Outstanding round
Great day of golf at Cypress Lakes. Staff was very professional and helpful as always.
Good conditions horrible pace of play.
I’m am pleased with the turnaround of the course. Greens are nice. Tee boxes are still a little uneven and the fairways are also. With the irrigation, the grass is coming around in the fairways. My only issue is the pace of play. Evidently, they allow five golfers in a group using four golf carts. It took 2 1/2 hours to play nine holes. There were no marshals or people to monitor the pace of play. If they can do better on the pace play, I would recommend playing Cypress Lakes.
Firm greens
Greens firm but had good pace to the putts. Fairways in nice shape. Number 7 fairway looked slimmer than before. Saw cart girl several times during the round so that was nice on a hot day. Would be nice if there were water coolers on the course.
Great day of golf
Staff were very polite and professional as always. The rough was very thick just off the fairway. Difficult to find golf ball. Ball would disappear completely. Maybe because of wet conditions and could not cut grass. But very frustrating trying to find a ball for 5 minutes. Overall nice outing.

Course is in GREAT shape. Greens are beautiful and are very fast and roll true. Going back Sunday!!!
