Golfer Reviews
Nice course layout.
Fairways are great, greens are fair and most of the sand traps need work!
Early play
Would be nice if the restaurant opened earlier than 11. Or at least had some grab and go food and beverages available.
Best Bang For Your Buck
40$ for a great course. They had tees, carts were nice, ice chest full of ice, staff was great. Only thing was pace of play was slow, but everything else was great
Leave your sand wedge at home
A great course to work on your iron game. Beautiful setting except for the bunkering. No sand in most and unmaintained. Most of the greens have a nice pace with water coming into play on several.
Slow pace of play and compromised greens
Let me start by saying the entire staff was great and I like the layout. From the back tees there are several very challenging par 3s. My threesome teed off at 9:50 on a Thursday morning. Play was extremely slow with lots of waiting on the front 9. We were informed on hole 6 that a large group was on the course that utilized a shot gun start. Thankfully they were done as we made the turn. Most of the greens after number 4 had bare spots which was surprising for this course.
This was a hidden treasure in New Orleans
Given that the weather here has obviously been dry this course was well watered, and very well maintained. The fairways and greens were exceptional. Lots of work has been done to the bridges and clearing the plants from the lakes overall a wonderful day
Greens were sub par. No water in ball washers. No cups at water jugs. Course was in decent shape besides about 5-6 greens. All in all, not worth a 70$ price tag. 45-50 maybe. And 10$ cart girl shots?… no thanks
Great Layout Executive golf course
The layout was magnificent. The fairways were in good shape but some of the greens were in bad shape. The sand traps need more sand. It is very easy to bottom out if hitting an explosion shot. But the layout and history surrounding the over hundfred year old course make up for the deficiencies. II would definitely play it again the next time Invisit New Orleans.
Mixed feelings
I love the layout and concept but the bunkers were unplayable and greens needed some grass. Pace of play was awful and random people were walking all over the course.
