Cypress Lakes Country Club
About
Cypress Lakes Country Club is the centerpiece of the Ormond community, a neighborhood of more than 500 homes. Blending seamlessly into the surrounding cypress trees, the golf course is both challenging and scenic. You'll have to navigate your way around 17 different ponds that come into play throughout the course. With several forced carries over wetlands, it will feel like there is water at every turn. There are also 40 strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens and fairways. It's a layout that will test your accuracy and ability to strategize. Multiple sets of tees keep scratch golfers happy while beginners can also approach the course with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Lakes has a practice facility featuring a 400-yard driving range with multiple targets and putting and chipping greens.

lots of water, very friendly staff, slowest day of golf ever
this golf course is in great condition. However, it’s hard to enjoy a place when you’re watching a group of two in front of you play 6 to 8 balls in the fairway every hole. I was playing by myself and it took me a little over 4 hours, which I would dare to say, is inappropriate.
Course is looking good
Had a 10:40 tee time and paired up with a guy who hadn’t played here. Fairways and greens are in good condition, green speed is fairly quick. Only negative was the pace of play made Cantlay look like a speed golfer.
Beautiful course! Very difficult with lots of water
Fairways, tee boxes, greens are in spectacular condition. Pace of play was absolutely horrendous.
You better be hot when you come to this course or you’re gonna have a lot of wet balls! Worth the price of admission
Greens are back
Course was a nice condition overall. Fairways are filling out since drainage project. The greens roll nicely and are fairly difficult to read. (Probably just need being a mediocre putter) Nice heavy breaks on most greens.
We played on a weekday again as that allows us to play a fast pace.
I recommend cypress lakes for a weekend golfer looking to spend sub $50 .
beauty
The course looked great. The new greens were just a little slow, but ran true. There were a few spots in a couple fairways that were being repaired so a free drop was the rule. A very enjoyable round of golf.
Good condition despite recent rain
Fairways drained well after rains the day before, they were full and firm. Greens were in great shape and rolled well. Some areas had fresh dirt added to fill holes but grass will cover them soon. A little slow paced but overall enjoyable. My playing partner had never been here and enjoyed the course.
Wide open fairways with lots of water
Really good course for intermediate golfers because the fairways are wide with not a lot of trees or rough. Tee it up and let it rip. The hard part of the course is that there is water in front of half the greens. Look at the course layout before every hole because you can hit a great shot toward the green and not realize the you will hit a water hazard. Greens are in very good condition. Would recommend playing this fun course.
Best value
Course doesn’t disappoint. Always a little crowded slow But worth it. Only a few clubhouse amenities.
Slow round
There was one foursome consisting of three adult men and a child. The child was playing from the whites and didn't seem to be able to hit the ball more than 50 yards or so. That after 10-15 practice swings. The whole course was backed up behind them. Their pace was slovenly at best. The couple in front of us apparently got disgusted and quit after six holes. On the back nine people behind us were constantly quitting and driving in. When I complained to the man in the pro shop he just shrugged it off. The course desparately needs marshaling.
