South at Boulders Golf Club & Resort
About
The Boulders Golf Club & Resort complex features two outstanding 18-hole courses. Both courses are very well maintained, and the scenery is incredible. Boulder's South Course is exactly the type of desert course people come to the Phoenix-Scottsdale resort corridor to play. A round of golf on the South kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 421 yards from the blue tees, which is quickly followed by a short par 3, measuring 150 yards from the blue tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a 545-yard par 5, which is just a warm-up for the 11th hole, a par 5 that measures 601 yards from the blue tees. It doesn't get much easier to finish: The 18th is a par 5 that measures 513 yards from the blue tees.

Golfer Reviews
Don’t Play in PM
The pace of play was over 2.5 hours for the front nine and we had to quit after 4 hours on the 13th hole. A group of players with 3 carts were two groups in front front of us and there were two holes open in front of them. No Marshall on the course so we were all backed up due to one group.
Overrated
The course layout is pretty good. Tee to green is pretty solid. Worst green conditions. Like putting on shag carpet. theyre incredibly slow and very bumpy. For the amount of money this place charges its pretty unacceptable. literally unputtable. plinko. Place has so much potential but seems they dont any of the money back into the course. Just greedy I guess
Overrated
In my opinion it is overpriced for what it is besides the views. For that amount of money I would prefer that we didn't have an audience following us around while we golf. Wives were allowed to drive with their husbands and then they would get out and walk the course for exercise while we golfed. This was our anniversary trip and my husband and I made the best out of it no matter what. In the future I would suggest the course only let paying golfers on the golf course while playing.
Cut the GREENS PLEASE
Staff was great been to the course before but you gotta cut the Greens. I know it’s overseed
time but some of the greens will just like putting on the fairway and that’s not fair when someone only gets to come here once in a while. It’s a treat to play there.
Fun course
Great course with very friendly staff. Carts are a bit dated for such a nice resort but it’s not that big of a deal. The range was not great at 0630 in the morning. You hit off what seems to be a slab covered in carpet. Of course this was because of the morning dew which is understandable and doesn’t really warrant much complaint. The course was a very fun and forgiving experience. The greens were spectacular visually but a bit on the slow side for me. Overall great course!
The greens were not in very good condition and were quite slow.
North Course
I’ve played the South Course(public) here and the views are spectacular but the conditions are always terrible. They’re overseeding the South Course right now so the North Course (private members course) was open. I had to take the opportunity. It’s pretty boring. The layout is mid. The views are lackluster except for maybe two holes on the front. The greens were also fuzzy except for maybe 3 holes. The amenities here, the carts, the clubhouse, the driving range, everything is really dated. I can go down the road to another course and literally everything is better. This place feels stuck in 2005. Staff was nice.
Awful conditions and pace of play
Greens were not cut or rolled at all for a Saturday @ $200 per round?!? So slow, gnarly and unkept. Was worse than a goat track. Add to that it took 2 hours to get through first 5 holes pace was atrocious.
Please give me a refund on my GolfNow booking fee of $40.
Thank you
GTime
Course was in magnificent shape with the exception of some bunkers. But with all that rain last week I understood. Starter and golf staff were great!
The only downside was after the round. The lady bartenders who did t know what a Water Hazzard drink was!! I mean it’s a golf course. How do you not know that?? And when I questioned what she did mix for me I stated that was not what I ordered. She then said to her coworker that it’s “all the same” with an attitude. Not drinking there again any time soon!
Fun Day at The Boulders
This has to be one of my favorite courses in the area. The views and hole layouts are spectacular.
For late summer in the desert, IMO the course was in excellent condition. The greens were a little slow but that is to be expected this time of year to prevent burn out. Other than that, all other conditions were really nice.
If you have not played this course before I recommend you try to get out before 10/1 while the greens fees are modest.
Great course
Course is in great shape for this time of year. Very challenging course but fun.
Play it if you get the chance.
Well even with rain through the first 9 it was a nice course. The layout is a lot of fun to play. The course was in great shape but a little wet 😆. Fairways were plush along with the aprons around the greens. The greens were a little slow due to the rain, but approach shots and chipping was real golf. The ball would hit and stop. Instead of rolling off the back from a good shot in. I would definitely play it again. Also we were treated well by the staff.
The Boulders South - Great Course
This was my 2nd time playing the South Course. I was not disappointed. Granted, a hot August day (around 105). IMO, the course was in excellent shape for late summer in Scottsdale. Friendly staff. Not very crowded. The layout is challenging, but fair, and the views are amazing! I will be back.
GolfNow fee
GolfNow charged me $42 to book this tee time. Will never go through them again. Going to call the course and make my times.
No complaints about the course itself, it’s always very well maintained and very scenic
Lack of available water was crazy to us. Who doesn’t have water bottles for the carts? It’s Summer in AZ and you have limited opportunities to hydrate? Honestly we were shocked and it’s just crazy, especially at one of the higher end tracks here.
Requested water to be brought out as we had none, Marshall brought cold towels? Seriously? Nice touch but……
Great course, great shape but service was lacking from bag drop to restaurant,
Bev cart POS not working? Wrote cc info down and I’m still trying, days later to get my receipt for expense report.
