Great Value for the Money
Alright, this is july in Arizona, so the course was not emerald green, but was still very playable. Course of play would have been great had a twosome ahead of me, had not hit 4 balls on every hole. Staff is always helpful and friendly. This is a good course to keep sharp.
Starter sucked
The starter at the course had no idea what she was doing. Absolutely no idea sent out a foursome and four singles at the same time by the time I got to the third hole I was already waiting was only able to play only four holes.
Starter is horrible
The starter was a total idiot, her name was Pam. She doesn’t know what she’s doing. She’s rude. She is mean and nasty and doesn’t care. Oh no never go back to that course. As long as she’s the starter she’s there on Fridays. I don’t know about the other days, but she’s there on Fridays.
DS
Greens in great shape for this time of year. Abundant amount of par 4’s which is great. Only negative feedback is really around the fairways. Many were very dried out and a lot of dirt patches. Overall good value for the conditions.
Great Course for the price
Loved playing here as it is super easy and short and cheap. Obviously it is cheaper for a reason as they have not amazing greens and decent amount of dead grass. So worth it though if you are looking to play golf on a budget.
Mike & I 6-18-24
My friend asked me to play 18 with him so I decided why not. The price was good. My only concern was that when I booked the round online, the website should have informed us that they were punching the back 9 and we had to play the front 9 twice. I did receive an email confirmation and they could have informed me in the email. The staff was friendly and he made a delicious bloody Mary. My cocktail was priced right and just for that reason alone, I would go back. Finally, a golf course that understands that less is more.
Confidence boosting course
I recommend this course to all amateur golfers! The fairways are forgiving and there were a couple times I actually had a chance to get an eagle.
Desert Sands 6-18-24
I know it is is June in the greater Phoenix AZ area. It is hot. The course was ok. However, the greens were punched the day before and if I had know that I would have played two weeks later. The price is competitive. No need for a driver since we had to play the front 9 twice.
We weren't told that at the turn we would be able to play thru since that is our back 9.
I will pay there again. The gentleman in the pro shop wanted to hear what I had to say since that was my first time. The bloody Mary was delicious and not overpriced. I will play there again this Summer and in the Fall & Winter.
Awesome round!
Out early with almost no one else on the course! Finished in just under 2 hours. Course was in excellent shape, especially considering the temps for the past 2 weeks. Only complaint (minor) was that whoever set the pins must be watching too much of the US open. A couple on the back side were virtually impossible to chip close to. All in all a fantastic experience. Thank you to all!
Trailer Golfin'
Admittedly, the setting of the course is less than stellar. HOWEVER, when you get past the fact that it is hunkered down smack dab in the middle of a trailer park, you will be impressed with the quality of the treatment that you receive from the staff, the carts are fantastic, and the value... well, you can NOT beat the value of this course.
It's a flat course. It's a short course, but a great course to work on your irons and approaches. Leave the driver at home... you won't need it.
