About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Deceivingly Challenging Executive Course
Experience started with entering a very pleasant-looking parking area and clubhouse. Staff was very friendly and helpful. While standing at the tee box, many holes appear to be easy, but most of the greens are somewhat domed, and many of them are rather small, making this a challenging course.

Reasonably Priced and Good Golf
I’ve been playing this course for nearly 10 years and I find it challenging due to the mounded greens. The course is at times not as well maintained as many would like to see. Often times the fairway grass is much too long which makes it difficult to get a good shot or at times even finding your ball.
I play in a league and I have enjoyed playing with this group and on this course.

Save your money
I played this course last year it qas so dry out you can a drive 300 yards. I thought the rain this fall was going help this course. It had the grass around the green's is super long I don't mean 5 yards but. 5. It was slow over 2 hrs for the front 9 amen the back was a normal pace.
It's was cheap but wasn't worth the price.
Fun and interesting
We enjoyed our first time playing at Desert Sands. The course was well laid out. The greens were very challenging. We got a good price on the "hot deal". We will definitely go again.

Tough course to score on, the fairways were the same length grass as the rough, no roll. Green layout is ridiculous, every green is like a mound, never have seen anything like it.
Tee boxes
Some Tee boxes were very uneven.
Don't go over the greens.

Great value for the price.

Shaggy fairways
Greens were well kept, a lot of weeds in the rough which I expected to be cut lower and some fairways were definitely in need of cutting as it was difficult to find my ball in the middle of a lot of fairways.
