About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Super Backed Up
Had to leave the course early as this course overbooked heavily and was backed up all day. Incredibly disappointing to have to take over 4 hours to complete an 18 hole game.

Too slow of pace.
The pace of play is way to slow they book tee time to close together. They need to space out the tee time I didn't even finish my round was tired of waiting.

Tee time doesn’t mean that’s when you tee off
I booked this course since it had good ratings and it was inexpensive. I had a tee time for 8:25, showed up and checked in at about 7:55am. Got my golf cart and practiced a little putting. Got to the starter at 8:20am to be told that my group had already gone and I could catch up with them on the second tee box. I was a little taken aback as it seemed strange they wouldn’t tee of the time we were supposed to. I had a good time I was pair with a couple ladies that were tons of fun. Seems like it’s set in an area full of retirees as everyone knew one another. I might play it again as the course was short but provided a decent challenge.

Descent Course for $46
Can’t expect much when you’re only paying $46 in March, but the course conditions weren’t terrible, besides the tee boxes. Altogether I would probably go back if it weren’t for the Proshop staff. Rude & awkward. Idk why, but it seems like these little cheap courses tend to have the rudest staff members.

The course is getting better with new grass in fairways but the greens have got to improve flatten some out . most of your tee boxes are terrible

Desert Sands in very good shape!
The course is laying very well right now! The greens are being mowed pretty well and are a decent speed.
I think the groundskeepers have done a very good job and the rain has helped.
A tip for playing this course is to expect to bounce Infront of the greens and let the ball run up to the hole.high shots into the green don't hold very well.
3.5 hour round starting at 3 pm.
