About
Robert Trent Jones II designed the golf course at Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club, creating a championship course to shift gently from open play to intimate foliage along Willow Wash. The golf delivers Southwestern authenticity, with etroglyph-etched boulders marking holes. It differs from the "target" golf courses of Arizona in that it features player-friendly golf, manicuring transition spaces so that golfers face minimal penalty when recovering.

Fun Sunday Golf
I love playing here. It is a hidden gem for a public course and the price is just right.
Dove Valkey Ranch Summer Saturday
Will certainly go back. $65 round at 8:20 am on a Saturday, so I think it was an ok value for time of day. Not a huge fan of AM golf anywhere in the valley in summer as the fairways are always sopping wet. This was no exception. Soaked fairways, heavy bunkers. Punched greens a couple weeks ago but they are pretty much good to go. Decent pro shop & bar. No water on course, so BYOW and fill up at bag drop. Good layout & fun holes. Look forward to playing again just later in day. My only beef, and it’s a big one was the pace of play.
4:35 round in Phoenix in Summer is inexcusable
The pro shop said “yeah, we had one group that slowed everyone down.”
Soooo…..you knew about it but didn’t push them forward. Quite a few upset people behind us..
Ok track
Some blind fairways for 1st time players, we were disappointed in the fairways and greens they had been plugged and it was still $75 for an 11:30 summer time tee time. So I guess we were expecting more. The course staff was fabulous, friendly smiling made you feel very welcome from the time we pulled in until we left.
Great condition considering…
It’s July in Phoenix. To have actual green grass is a huge factor. They had just punched all the fairways and greens, but it was still very playable and again, great shape for the first half of the hot season.
Challenging layout if the conditions are good.
Overall a very challenging course. Unfortunately had a little too much water which lead to flooded bunkers, soggy fairways, and unplayable lies (sometimes even in fairways, it was 100+ for the week we played, no rain). Staff was incredibly nice and overall experience was good. I would give it another chance as the upside is high.
greens were punched about a week ago, needs some time before i will go back.. over all nice course
Fast Greens, Tight Cut Fairways
I would have rated 5 stars except the greens were really fast and the fairways were cut really short. As an average golfer adding both of these together made for a tough challenge all day and a higher than normal score. Some downhill putts were pretty hard with the ball rolling way beyond the hole. All 4 of us in the party were complaining about both conditions. Low handicap players might not have the same complaints.
