About
The golf course at Las Colinas Golf Club stretches over a gently, rolling landscape sprinkled with over 2000 cottonwoods as well as various other native grasses and plants. The greens are separated by ribbons of desert washes, where golfers sometimes catch glimpses of local wildlife. Although the golf course is not as demanding as other championship courses, the layout features an interesting variety of holes that requires precision from every club in the bag. The course offers a challenge for all skill levels with doglegs and lakes coming into play on some holes. Located in the growing community of Queen Creek, Las Colinas Golf Club has become a popular choice in the Valley.

Typical public bunkers, no sand. Dont know why they dont just fill with turf.

Playing the busiest day of the golf year, teed off at 1pm and played in 4 hrs, thanks again guys inside the pro shop, your team keeps things moving!

Las Colinas/Villages
My GPS routed me into the neighborhood adjacent to the course, so it took a couple solicitations for directions before I found the clubhouse. It was Thanksgiving so my 12:15 tee time meant I pretty much had the course to myself. The course is in above average condition--the fairways were mowed and lush, the rough was typical dormant summer Bermuda, and the greens were grass covered from edge to edge. The notable feature of the greens is that they are relatively small in size so the challenge to the course is holding the greens with the approach shot. The layout is generally straight-forward with a few rises to the green put in for interest. You should complete the round with the balls you started with.

Almost empty, great day to go golfing!
Later on Thanksgiving day. Had one twosome let us through at 9. Ended up doing 18 in 2 1/2 hours, really nice. Course is getting better with the exception of the traps. Not good. Rest of course is o.k. though.

Great weather, good course
Course is getting in better shape. Greens are starting to roll better, and fairways are starting to fill in a bit more. However sand traps are still terrible, no sand.
