Las Colinas Golf Club

I’ve never given any course a poor rating, but the amount of landscape debris all over the course was ridiculous! Not to mention grass being over 5 inches in areas and I’m not talking out of bounds. I understand they are getting ready to over seed, but that doesn’t mean you just let everything go. I wish I would have taken pictures. As a foursome we lost over ten balls in grass that we all saw the areas they landed in.

Other than the bunkers being very hard/firm and thus very difficult, the golf course was good and greens were good. The course was busy and the staff did a good job of handling all that.

Terrible experience today. Booked a group outing and spent almost $200 for us to come here. From the start this was a terrible experience. The gentleman at the start of the course was super abrasive and accusatory asking me for a receipt. Paid for 5 golfers had 3 carts-one friend was late. Yelled at the 4th when he showed up a few minutes later asking for a receipt. On the 5th hole a gentleman approached us saying that we cannot have 5 in a group and that if we did happen to have 5 then we needed to move along to not hold others up (Others were teeing off on the hole behind us and no where near the next hole we were Golfing towards. On the 7th hole the “Manager” came over and told us that someone called and complained there were 5 in our group and that their policy is that you cannot have more than 4 people in a group and that every player needs a set of clubs. 4 of us had sets out of 5... only one person golfs at a time so why does it matter!?

NO WHERE are these “rules” stated.

We were told they were stated on the website (which they are not) and management does not have them listed up front at the check in desk or have any of the staff relay this information to you upon arrival. We only finished 7 holes and were harassed 3 times while playing because of these non existent rules. Customers who come and spend their hard earned money shouldn’t suffer because of lack of management. Not once were we offered to have any of us hang back to balance out the number of players in the group nor a refund for only playing 7 holes then leaving. There are plenty of other courses without pretentious staff who are dealing with terrible management.

Was interrogated since the first hole. Staff was incredibly abrasive. Made it 9 holes being harassed 3 times and finally leaving after an argument with management. Terrible customer service. Will not be returning. $200+ spent for 9 holes of golf for 4 people.

Nearing end of summer and the were scalping tee boxes for winter grass just ahead of us but still had great round. Staff is always nice. I enjoy this course.

Not perfect condition but for the price it would be hard to beat. Greens roll true. Grass in fairway. Not a crazy layout. No real sand in traps. Still think it is worth it if you just want to go play and hit shots.

I showed up to the course 30 minutes early. My second, Mr Bret Addington showed up about 15 minutes before and checked in and PAID! When we were called to the first tee we BOTH showed our receipts. It appears the PRO at the ProShop put Bret on the tee time BEFORE ours. He had to go back in and show his receipt to the ProShop again. Now I'm getting billed ANOTHER 32.30 for a third tee time. WHAT is going on? This is not right and needs to be credited back to my card IMMEDIATELY!

Extremely hot today but course in good condition. Greens were holding but just a bit long and bumpy. That is to be expected with 110+ degree weather. Another couple of weeks and 15 degrees cooler course should quickly turn excellent. Nice moderate track.

Mosquito’s were bad. Rough way too long. Everyone spending lots of time looking for balls which slowed play considerably. Between playing partner and myself we lost over a dozen golf balls that would disappeared if you failed to hit fairways. On the fence about whether I’d recommend to others. I’ve played here several times but I’ve never seen the course like this.. I hope it’s only because of the time of year. Mosquito’s are a major concern.

Love playing here. I wish it were closer and I’d play here more. Fun course that’s open and great for scoring.

I live 4 miles away and used the driving range often. Staff is always nice. Always have cold water stations at range and at several tee boxes. Played today as a single (played Roadrunner Tee) with 3 other really nice people. About my 5th time here and always have a great time. Plenty challenging for me and greens, and fairways were in great shape.

Probably not real nice of me to say, because they are real nice out there at Las Colinas, but this is the course you play when there's nowhere else to play. It is a good track, not great, but not a goat track either. Conditions are good, not great, but very playable. The value is good, not great, because it doesn't cost a lot to play there. I have always been treated real nice by everyone so I know they are trying. As long as you're not expecting a pristine, manicured, luxury golf experience, you should do fine. And along the way you'll probably hear a Hank Williams song or something from 30 years ago blaring from one of the houses along the fairway (what does that tell you), so that could be a good thing or bad thing depending on your persuasion. All in all, playable when your favorite options aren't. Sorry guys, gotta be honest.
