The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. There are plans for redevelopments into a residential area.
Set in a private, gated golf community located in Queen Creek, The Links at Queen Creek is not a typical Arizona desert course. Most of the course including the signature third hole, features ample trees, grass and water. This Sam Wese design, which opened in 1994, features four sets of teeboxes to accomodate everyone from low-handicappers to novice golfers. The Links at Queen Creek is a popular host course for tournaments, as the staff is skilled in event planning, execution and promotion.

Slow play ruined round
We had a foursome in front of us that held up the entire course of players behind them due to slow play, inability to even hit the golf ball and yet playing from the back tees. They never invited anyone to play through, they didn't drive the cart to their balls, instead wandering all over the fairways on foot. The worst part of the experience was that there was never a martial to address the situation. The money we spent was completely wasted. We won't be going back anytime soon...too bad because the course is nice.
Funky little course
Fun course, short holes but a lot of different options off the tee to play the hole
Very nice course!!
I hadn’t played the links for a few years but I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the course is. Fun and challenging setup, great shape. Loved it, I’ll be back soon'!
I've played the Links before, and it seems as though they book groups too close together.... we were constantly waiting for 1-2 groups to finish on several holes and we had a group behind us that were playing so close that we had their balls in the area we were playing. It really takes the enjoyment out of the game when you are waiting your turn and having another group pushing you from behind.
Beautiful day of golf
Very friendly staff ,great starter pace was right on time. Got paired up with another couple, great time had by all
Course condition
Rough was very high and wet. Easy to loose your ball and very hard to get out of. Played sereral courses around the area with close prices. I would rate this as only fair based on price. Johnson Ranch close price. Much better. Also, greens slow.
Good for couples.
Shortish. 5,870yds./par 70
No sand.
Fair amt of water.
Some tough driving holes from blue.
Female friendly for my wife.
Links Golf
Course was in good shape. We used Golf Now to book as rates at the course were excessive for the size and complexity. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was very good. Nice for the high handicap player.
Don't be deceived by the name...this isn't a links course, at least not as I've understood the term. It is, however, an excellent course. Moderately challenging even though it's pretty open. Especially nice that there's lots of green grass instead of the desert that is so common here.
Really bad condition, football golf flags everywhere
Really bad condition, football golf flags everywhere in confusion with real flag, bad conditions fairway and green really slow. I definitely do not recommend this course
Poor fairways and exceptionally slow greens.
Cart oath only doe to oversweding which is understandable. However, fairways had many significant patches of sand and the greens were the slowest I've played in years. I was recommended Ron play this course from a colleague who was here in 2016 so tthwbiasue is likely recent overseeding. That said, $44 for a course in this condition is rich as Ocotillo was $50 due to overseeding (but you could play your ball from everywhere as the course was in good shape).
Good fun
The day was great weather and the course was in good condition considering they just opened a few weeks earlier after shutting down over the summer months. This is my go to course when I’m looking to have a game with someone. The staff are excellent... enjoy your round
ok--today
course is a little rough right now. Fairways were mushy and some greens had brown , rough areas. I think it will be real good in about 2 weeks. I like the course. It has an interesting layout that requires good course management and use of all clubs
Golf in the Sun
The course has just opened and the fairways were in great shape, but still getting established. The course is cart path only until the fairways get back to normal. The course is a great course and one everyone should consider playing.
They're back and they're open!
I love this course and am always excited when they open up again in October! Great to see friendly faces! The course was in great condition. Putting greens were a little rough and needed to be rolled a few more times to get out the ripples from re-seeding. Loved being first out the day I played. Great walking course and finished in 2 hours and 25 minutes.
Great Course
This is a really great course that will test you game - not to long but not easy at all. We love this course and the people who run it.
My fav local course
I am fortunate to live close to this 18 course. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a shirt course, even from the tips, so you can choose to be aggressive with your driver or layup with irons off the tee. Some short par 5s have serious eagle opportunity, so that's always fun. Water on a number of holes, but I can't remember if there is one sand bunker anywhere.
Summer time golf here is fantastic. Very few people playing and fees are low.Theyse in July for a few months. Winter time is a different story. Lot of snowbirds, slow play, and rounds are $50 and up.
