The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. There are plans for redevelopments into a residential area.
Set in a private, gated golf community located in Queen Creek, The Links at Queen Creek is not a typical Arizona desert course. Most of the course including the signature third hole, features ample trees, grass and water. This Sam Wese design, which opened in 1994, features four sets of teeboxes to accomodate everyone from low-handicappers to novice golfers. The Links at Queen Creek is a popular host course for tournaments, as the staff is skilled in event planning, execution and promotion.

Two words: Goat Ranch
This may the worst golf course I've every played. The staff is very nice, but when your golf course is that bad you have to try and make up for it in other ways...
Fun course
The course was very fun to play. Good layout, but many of the holes did not have maps so there was no way to know where to hit the ball. I guessed wrong a couple times. Now that I have played it, it will be much better. Also, there was one staff member that wasn't very pleasant. The other staff was great, which made up for it.
Enjoyable and Fun Course
Great course considering AZ summer conditions. Wonderful. Enjoyable.
Great course for both long and short game
The links is always how I monitor my progression in this sport. Great course with some nice challenges, always have a good time out there.
Old feel but also quaint
Course is older but has a charm to it. Extremely beautiful in some areas, a tad run down in others. Different layout, get a map your first time. Pretty good value. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, probably nicest in town.
Great value
Great friendly staff. Short course, but you can have lots of fun
Get A Local
No trap but a few holes do have water, Only problem is finding the green your shooting for, If I did not have a guy with me that had played there before I would have been lost. No hole layouts on cards or at tee boxes.
The course was in good shape
We enjoyed our game and the pace of golf was good.
Always a nice course to play
The Links is still in excellent condition due to the type of grass that they use.
Greens putt well. Fairways are in good shape.
The 238 yard par 3 is worth the trip. There is enough water to keep you thinking. Good course to play more than a few times.
The Links at Queen Creek
Lots of birds around the course which is really enjoyable. The course itself needs attention. We golfed here on April 14th in the afternoon. There had been a fun tournament in the morning and consequently the pin placements were absolutely ridiculous. They wouldn't follow the placement rules. They should have been changed following the tournament. There is no way the paying public should have to contend with this.
Most unfair pin placements I have seen.
On Masters day pin placements were unreasonable on most holes and difficult on all. If the goal was to frustrate golfers, they accomplished their goal. Most frustrating round of the year with the side hill pins. Won't be back anytime soon.
Fun course....good for the ego!!
This is a fun little par 70 course. If you hit your driver 300 yards, this is not for you. But if you want to play under 6000 yards, and have fun, score well...it is great!!1 i will go back a couple times a year, just for an ego boost!
Enjoyable 1st round at this course. Nice pace. Good value.
Was pleasantly surprised by this mid difficulty course. Great shape compared to others at this price point. Have golfed many courses in the surrounding 20 miles radius and this course was the nicest we played
Nice pro shop, good prices, friendly staff A rating overall.
Great course for an average golfer.
First time that we have played this course and enjoyed the experience. Only 2 faults were a very slow front nine and some of the holes are a bit crowded with neighbouring holes.
This course has potential
My wife and I enjoyed playing here, good mix of water and dog-legs. Some of the Tee blocks are too crowned and couldn't find a flat area to tee up. Most greens were in good shape, a few had some die off and need attention. A tad expensive for this course. Overall a good experience, we were paired up with a nice young couple.
Any day golfing is a good day golfing. Right?
My husband and I have golfed here twice. Once in mid-February and once at the end of March. Yes, it is a busy time of year.
The Links is a pretty course. It is narrow and has water hazards so it keeps your attention. The Starter I chatted with was very nice.
My experience has been there are no tee times available prior to 2-ish then they cram as many groups as possible onto the course.
The 1st time we started at 3:30 PM and could only get in 9 holes. We could have gone maybe 2 more, but did not see the point in that.
The 2nd time they paired us with another group and got us out about 2:20. Hooray! Finishing would be a piece of cake. Not so fast Marie Antoinette, we actually ended up finishing 18 in the dark. :-( This 5 hour round seemed much, much, much longer.
As I said, it is a pretty course, but the torturously slow pace made it just flat out not enjoyable and has negated us ever playing here again.
Playing this course feels like you are playing the same hole over and over. No imagination in the design.
Course appears attractive- lots of trees and grass, not a typical desert course.
Too many short par fours and lookalike par threes. Only one par four requires any imagination. Greens are all similar -back to front slope with no undulations.
I feels like you are playing the same hole over and over. No imagination in the design.
Staff was helpful tee time was about 15 late getting on course
We were 15 mnutes late getting on the course but moved ok once on the course.
