The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. There are plans for redevelopments into a residential area.
Set in a private, gated golf community located in Queen Creek, The Links at Queen Creek is not a typical Arizona desert course. Most of the course including the signature third hole, features ample trees, grass and water. This Sam Wese design, which opened in 1994, features four sets of teeboxes to accomodate everyone from low-handicappers to novice golfers. The Links at Queen Creek is a popular host course for tournaments, as the staff is skilled in event planning, execution and promotion.

great place to play
i have played the cource for several years and have allways had a good experiance. friendly staff ,good hotdogs and the cource is allways maintained in an excellant condition
good course for the money
very friendly staff, good maintained greens, fairways could stand some attention.
Very easy course to walk. Beare the water hazards off the blue tees.
Greens seemed to be in need of some work. The balls would not stop on them. They may have needed more water or perhaps a bit more sand, dirt mixture.
Good value for the money (twilight rate of ~ $ 25
Although overall course is short, there are some challenging holes. An example is a 220 yard par 3 from the blues and a par 5 at about 540 yards. Greens are not fast. Have overseeded all areas so has nice green cosmetic look to everything.
first course we've played on this trip where we didn't have to wait.
We had an enjoyable time. Never had to wait for slow play ahead of us and no one was pushing us. The fairways are great and the greens are interesting. It was a fun afternoon.
the course is alright for the price
The greens are slow and had several marks on them. It is in good shape but needs attention on the greens. There was no martial around and we had to miss a hole because the group that was in front would not let us through they were a foursome and we were only 2. I did not like that one bit.
descent course for the price
Course is in pretty good shape some of the greens need a little work.IT seems to be booked a little to heavy so the play is really slow could be partly because some par 4 holes are driveable so you have to wait till the green is clear.
Course still coming in after opening.
Good course, we liked it a will play again. Good balance of holes and conditions. Some of the fairways need to be payed attention to as if someone plays from the blue's they can be hitting into someone coming off the previous green. Be carefull and always look where others are. We liked the course and will definatly will play again. Thanks, Raymond
the manager val, was awesome.
no one was at the check in desk, when i got to the front desk the manager val came out of her office and help to welcome us in. i wanted a drink and the counter girl stepped out for a minute, and you guessed it, val came over and waited on us, the starters were not only helpful but very inquisitive and asked if we ever played here before? i told her yes and she said great, she was about to give us a rundown on the course, she wished us a happy thanks giving and got us on our way. Great staff. will definitely play their again.
Very enjoyable day in a pleasant setting. Greens are looking very good for so early in the season.
Met nice people...friendly staff...beautiful day and surroundings. What more can one ask for a day of golf?
Course needs work
Although the Links is only open during Rye grass season, they could have taken some extra time, or spent more on seed. Several patches needed reseeding, and most of the greens were so sandy you could only have a hail mary putt. Not impressed, but cheaper fees than most around town.
This course has some challenging holes.
I love playing this course. It is easy to walk if you desire to do so.
Course needs some time and water to green up.
Green are in poor condition. Needs lots of water to for the greens
Don't go too early. Let the greens fill in!
A $25 rate on a Saturday morning got us to make the drive to The Links. The course is let to die off in the summer and brought back with vigorous watering. We paid the price on the greens where all were sandy some had grass some had both and some had none. Needless to say we call these two putt greens. Wait till mid November to play this nice little track
Course in terrible shape
This course is in terrible shape. Looks much better from the street but the tee boxes and green have seed and sand all over them. The fairways we wet and sparse, and many places the grass was much too high.
Course is fair and well laid out for the fair to average golfer.
It was very apparent that the course shouldn't have been open for play as the reseeding was very patchy at best and the greens were a total disgrace. It was obvious that the course does not have any Bermuda grass to scalp before reseeding to rye grass.
Although the course is "senior" friendly, I definitely will not be playing it again this year, because it definitely will never be in decent playing condition this season.
Course was in bad condition
Went and played for the first time at the Links. I was heavily disappointed that after two weeks of reseeding the grounds were still mostly dirt. The worst part was that the greens acted more like bunkers. They were mostly sand and EXTREMELY slow. If there was any grass on the greens, it wasn't cut and nearly an inch long. Even at the price it was not worth it. The course itself is very unique in that it is surrounded by tall trees everywhere, however it starts to become like you are playing the same hole over and over. The staff was friendly and helpful, so that was a plus.
poor shape for money
the course has a nice layout with mature trees. The fairways and greens are in terrible shape from reseeding. This course should not be open for play for another few weeks or the fee should be lower.
awkward but enjoyable
Showed up and found course was out of carts. Never heard of that ever happening anywhere. Forced to share and offered my money back without asking- to not play. Course in worse shape than advertised as greens heavily pitted with gullies. Got paired up with a nice group and kept moving without waiting. Easy course and relaxing. However flags and holes overlap too closely and no map provided for clarity.
