The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
About
Set in a private, gated golf community located in Queen Creek, The Links at Queen Creek is not a typical Arizona desert course. Most of the course including the signature third hole, features ample trees, grass and water. This Sam Wese design, which opened in 1994, features four sets of teeboxes to accomodate everyone from low-handicappers to novice golfers. The Links at Queen Creek is a popular host course for tournaments, as the staff is skilled in event planning, execution and promotion.

Fun challenging layout.
The grass conditions were excellent on the greens, fairways, and rough. The bad thing was there was waterfowl droppings almost everywhere and at times was really messy. The greens were fast and very undulating which made some of them very difficult. The course is not long from the white tees, but demands accuracy to score well. It was a fun change from traditional housing development courses and emphasize shot making over length.
You may not want to play here on days they host leagues
We have played here a few times and enjoy it very much. However, yesterday we did not enjoy ourselves as the course rangers repeatedly told us to speed up our pace. We were always either a hole or two ahead of the group behind us so we didn't understand their (two different rangers) repeated requests (4 times). Then we found out they had scheduled two large leagues back to back. We felt pressured to complete our round even though we were moving well ahead of the "crowd" behind us. We will check to see if they are hosting league play before we book next time.
Great Course
Still one of the best courses for the money that I have played.
Interesting layout
The fairways were in fair condition. The greens were in good shape, very firm with challenging breaks. With the limited remaining life due to the sale of the property, the course is in good condition.
Windy
It was so windy that I quit after the 3rd hole. They gave me a rain check, no questions asked! Love this place!
Sad
I'm sad that this course is going to close in May.it is a nice golf course .wish it close
The course was fun but the weather sucked(out of your control) it was so windy the sand was whipping at our face and legs till it hurt. but we make it through. would love to try this course another time to enjoy the full potential of this course.
