El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Canada Course

My husband and I really enjoy playing at El Conquistador. The course is in excellent shape and it has plenty of challenging holes which are fun to play. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All this contributes to a fun round of golf in a beautiful setting.

Great course for starting your year from the winter doldrums of the north. The course was in very good shape. They are in a water restriction period but the course is holding up well. I pulled one of my brain dead moments and arrived a day early. They were able to accommodate us. Tom asked if it was our first which it was an he was instrumental to tell us to go up a club on the up hill shots. Thanks Tom came in handy more than once. Some holes needed two dependant upon wind. My wife and I are looking forward to our return in the future. She also loved the proshop especially the fact there was more women's clothing than most shops. Great job!

The course was beautiful and in great shape ! I have played golf across the United States and I have never had such a poor assistance from the staff ! From the minute of arrival until leaving the staff acting as if I was a burden instead of assisting in any way ! Starter, Marshals , cart attendant were all rude and acted as if they were to busy to answer any questions or provide in assistance from finding the assigned cart , to direction where the first tee began! A shame for such a beautiful setting !

Everything was in great shape and the pace of play was adequate as we finished in 4 hours 15 minutes. Some panoramas are absolutely majestic and every hole is different and challenging. It lagged at times but to enjoy the views while you were waiting made it enjoyable.

For such a nice course, it behooves me why they haven’t replaced the artificial turf at the driving range. That, and the poor conditions in most sand traps are really a black eye on management. Otherwise, it’s an excellent course. Choose your tee box wisely and don’t try to be a hero. The shorter holes play much longer as they are uphill.

Great course and conditions, 5+ hour round. Course way overloaded with golfers. Kind of ruined the day. No rangers.

I have enjoyed playing this course for a few winters. The course conditions have improved significantly. Unfortunately, since Troon golf took over the management the pace of play has deteriorated. 5 hours for a round of golf is ridiculous. Not sure why they even have marshals as they do nothing to move the corse along. For an ever increasing price they should try a little harder.

Course was beautiful and in great shape. 4.5 hrs to play in the afternoon. Soak in the views and you won’t mind the wait.

Course in fairly good shapes. Would like to see if could get some newer range balls to hit.

Course is in excellent shape. One recommendation would be to add GPS to the golf carts.
